These tutorials are very helpful along with the documentation. I just purchased it and started playing around. I'm more of an illustrator so this is very exciting. I'm also super excited that there are other functions like the braid, scatter, and animation. this is an incredible tool. I can't wait to see more from you.
Thank you, Gaku- san for your wonderful tool. I really love using it. Your video tutorials are also explanatory. Keep on doing this. Would be great to show your workflow for animation after creating subject with DP GP. Thank you!
17:52 i seem to be stuck here. i try to set the weight paint's density factor to the branch and nothing happens. i cant find any other settings to figure out what i did wrong.
ok. i went home, upgraded, tried the same thing. still didnt work. just to make sure i did the same thing to a sphere and used a monkey as the points to distribute, and it didnt recognize the weight paint either. edit: the problem seems to be the group that is plugged into "Density Factor" in the "Distribute Points on Faces" node. If i bypass the various nodes and bring it straight to Group Input's "Density Factor" slot, the problem is fixed. edit 2: i fixed the problem. the nodes for "Clamp" "Accumulate Field" and "Greater Than" are not plugged into each other. i had to plug them in.
How many vertices did you end up with? I started messing around and hits 650,000 pretty quick. I suppose maybe. Turning them to hair cards rather than mesh for like a forest. I couldn't see another option.
Yep, I was using the latest version. Some other features weren’t working either. I ended up having to download an older version to get most of the functionality I see in your videos. Still testing and having minor problems.
@@GAKUTADA I'll definitely be picking up the pro version in the near future. What a robust tool 👍 It beats exporting and painting in an external program. And vertex painting has a very beautiful watercolor like quality.
That's great!! One question: I usually use the Noise Modifier in my Grease Pencil Pantings to achieve a Frame By Frame animation style with the paintings. Would be possible to do something similar with the Vertex Paint that you are using on DP?
love this, just tried it myself! thank you so much for this amazing addon and tutorials. however my branches start right on the bottom of the tree, in yours they start higher up. what am I doing wrong? // edit: oh well the weight paint fixed it anyway!
Hi! love this tutorial! on my options menu I don't have the 'Target' tab that allows you to join the curve to end point. I downloaded deep paint recently about a couple weeks ago, anyone know how to find this option?
Thanks for this tutorial Gaku. Your work is incredible. I enjoy your calm voice narrating each step.
thank you so much!!:)

Great to know, thank you so much!! Animation is not my strongest part, but yea I will give a try:) thanks!
@ 9:23 when I press E I don't see that menu, any help or alternative ways to do the GP to Fill Mesh?
you have DP addon ? turned on?
@ no what’s that?

Yes there's issue in 4.0 and under for density in tree GEN, I am trying to fix but can you please use 4.1 Blender and see if you can fix? thanks
@@GAKUTADA I should upgrade anyway, but I will do that and get back to you. Thanks.

@@NelsonCWoodstock awesome, thanks a lot for that! I will have a look
Can't wait to try your addon once I buy it :)
yea!😀
Beautiful piece . Thanks. Tutorial eventually came out .
Thanks!:)
You don't know how much I've been waiting for this clip. Your art makes me want to cry😻. It's so beautiful, I really loved it
Awesome to hear, thank you so much!!
Amazing! I look forward to trying this out :)
Sweet, thanks!!

I usually keep it mesh but decimate a lot so it is quite lite, you can do that with modifier in DP tab also there's short cut ctrl D for it
thank you
That looks like a lot of polygons
not really, as it is intanced
Great tutorial and loving the addon. I dont seem to have that fill brush though (8:27). Did you discontinue it?
oh you should have one from GP panel and import custom brush, no?

do you mean same noise animation to mesh?
It is possible if you apply displacement modifier and have noise animation to strength value

glad to hear it fixed!:) thanks!
Can you make it in a watercolor style???🙏
Mirando tus videos, voy a dar el paso e intentar hacer algo en 3D. 🙌🙌🙌👌👌👏👏 saludos !!
Sweet! thanks!:)
I noticed that your 3D cursor is a grid, how does this work?
Do you mean canvas? If you display GP canvas when draw mode, 3d cursor becomes canvas
I want that too
thanks!

do you mean GP to mesh menu window? there's connect line option in pop up window
Does your add-on work with custom brushes? If yes, are there any limitations?
it works fine. no limitation. Basically it will convert to mesh.
@@GAKUTADA Ok awesome !
We finally hear your voice
yea hope its ok😅
❤❤❤❤❤
Do the keystrokes you use only work with the addon installed? (They're not doing anything with my installed version of 4.x)
I think I've figured out the answer is yes :)
Amazing! Can you make a video on how to create the tree gen??
Do you mean how to do Geometry Node to make? well I will leave that for experts, there's too many great video already:)
for me vertex paint not working ;/
do you mean when DP is installed? can you send me a blend file though the site please? gakutada.com
