this video is so helpful! good refresh for when i can’t get over to herne bay! i think herne bay is one of the more tricky places to drive which is always helpful when u have to do you test there 🤣
Just booked my son his test for the 3 Jan 21 - I passed my test in Herne Bay over 30 years ago, so this video was as useful as it was nostalgic - thank you!
Thank you sir! During my mock tests I’ve made serious faults almost every time, but on my exam I’ve passed the first time and only got 2 minors. It’s a basketball principle - it’s better to miss everything during the warmup, so you will make every shot during the actual game. Your video helped very much. Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I got my test in Hern Bay tomorrow afternoon, good to see some of the roads as im from Folkestone and never drove that area before
Thank you so much for this video, I passed my test in herne bay the day after watching this. I watched through twice. Was so helpful to know all the tricky areas!
Thank you for this, got my test in a month and I’ve driven round herne bay a good few times now, but watching this through a few times really helps with my confidence 🙌
Fantastic that’s good to hear. That was my aim when recording this but you never know whether it works until a comment like yours comes in. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much for making this video. Have my test in Herne Bay soon and I haven't driven in Herne Bay so this is extremely useful to me. Thank you.
After making myself very familiar with your video I passed my test at Herne Bay today with zero faults. Thank you. If you want to add an edit to your description I would point out all the new 20mph limits in the centre of town and sea front. Even though they are sign-posted, they probably wont turn up on gps.
Great video, very helpful. I have my test booked for the 7th January. I have an underlying feeling my test will get cancelled because of this new variant.
Excellent, good luck 🤞🏻. Feel free to refer my growing channel to your students. Contact me through one of the links if you want to chat with a local instructor.
Good luck, try to be more positive and you will have more chance of passing. Your instructor must think you have a good chance of passing and you are watching videos to give yourself more knowledge. The examiner just wants to see that you are safe enough to go out by yourself and build the rest of the skills and experience. Best wishes!
@@ChimpOnCars thank you so much! I’m at a crossroads as I’m trying not to be too confident and jinx it or too negative and mess up. I primarily learned with my dad and only had a few lessons with an instructor but on my last lesson my instructor did say he didn’t think I needed anymore. Hopefully that’s a good sign🤞
Thanks for the video, appreciate its been a while since original post but would you happen to know if this would be the same route for an ADI part 2 test?
This video encompassed a few tricky areas from various routes so will be useful but not an exact route to expect. Please message me directly 07814930201 as I may be able to help further.
I unfortunately failed my driving test in Herne Bay last week, it was perfect except I was trying to turn right at a roundabout that is blind on the dual carriageway with loads of traffic, got flustered and the instructor had to brake. No other faults, I was so devastated. Please give me some tips on how to look in this type of situation? Thanks :)
Sorry to hear that you didn’t pass, sounds like you will be confident for your next attempt though. Visit this roundabout again with your instructor or do some private practice in the area. We normally get a good view at a roundabout but maybe you need to edge forward a little at this one? Have in mind next time that it’s better to get a minor fault for hesitancy than a serious fault for taking a risk. Take a bit more time and find a bigger gap next time.
Got my test at the end of February. Have driven around herne bay a few times now. I think what can be particularly challenging for me, is the amount of hills and meeting traffic required on those hills. For some reason, my planning ahead and awareness gets reduced on hills as I am concentrating harder on simple things like speed. Also, one more thing is the back to back schools, and chaos from the parents picking their children up, and constant stopping at zebra crossing requiring patience. I do not find this too challenging, but I can imagine this can be something difficult during the anxiety of the driving test.
You are correct that the area can be different during school times. Good luck with your test. A bit more practice around the hills to improve your planning ahead can be done before your test. The more times you deal with these things the easier they get. Good luck and thanks for your comment!
@@vendetta1454 very relaxed. Take some time to familiarise the roundabouts and smaller roads there and you'll be fine. Really nice folks at the test centre, too.
Sorry, I'm unable to recommend any. Best advice is to ask for referrals from friends and family who have taken lessons recently. If you don't get good instructions from who you choose then change instructor before spending too much money.

Hi, good luck for December! I cannot take you out for a drive unfortunately.
I have a driving test in the Herne Bay this 2nd of June - Any chance i can have a drive around with you? Cheers
