I get the weaving in tail part bit if it was to get washed, would they come undone? I just finished a baby blanket for a friend and I don't want the ends coming out.
I'm not sure whether this will be read but I truly wonder if this holds up when you wash the item? I'm starting on a baby blanket (as a gift) and I would really hate to see the whole thing come apart when the parents wash the blanket...
I love your blog! I am learning how to make socks on a sock loom. Any tips would be great. I would love to learn how to make shawls on a round loom with bulky yarn or a worsted yarn on a KB fine gauge round loom which I have just purchased. Your tips on weaving in ends as you go are great as occasionally I find incomplete stitches on projects and feel I have to rip out a project before I can fix the stitch.

You probably won't see this, but I need some help. I've just begun knitting and I've mastered casting on, knit stitch and purl stitch, but I'm still working with tails, sorry for being such a novice, but after you clipped off the test of the tail, how does it not come undone? I keep thinking of when I was sewing and you'd have to tie a knot in the end to stop it unravelling and I just am curious as to how you dont need to do anything like that. Again, sorry for being such a novice and sounding stupid. I just really like knowing exactly how things work.

So locking in the stitches and zigzagging around the other stitches really is doing most of the work to locking it in instead of a knot in sewing. Happy knitting!
Lynette Booysen knit sweaters are made in different ways. Some are made seamless such as a yoke or in raglan construction. Others are made in pieces and sewn together with the same yarn used in the project. You don’t use a sewing machine generally for knit sweaters when hand or loom knitting.
@@GoodKnitKisses Do mean by this that your Master knitter splits the last stitch of yarn? Like putting the needle through the yarn? I read somewhere else that you can kind of stitch through the middle of the yarn to help it hold. Also, I’m using a blend of bamboo and tencel, and it’s pretty slippery. Will that also hold? I’m also a beginner ;-)
