The full song has two parts missing in this video 😞 specially the last part when he speaks, which is my favorite part because it was dedicated to his fans ❤
What I think is the most beautiful part of the song is cut out. At the end, Michael speaks these words. In our darkest hour In my deepest despair Will you still care? Will you be there? In my trials And my tribulations Through our doubts And frustrations In my violence In my turbulence Through my fear And my confessions In my anguish and my pain Through my joy and my sorrow In the promise of another tomorrow I'll never let you part For you're always in my heart
You know what would be a cool reaction? If you found old TV shows with Michael Jackson singing with his older brothers (The Jackson Five) and did a direct comparison of his techniques when he was 10 to his techniques in the days of "Thriller" and "Bad". If you did 10-year old Michael first, doing one of the old songs like "Ben", and then analyze something from "Thriller" and see how his vocal technique evolved over the years. There aren't many artists that give us such a long and public history and opportunities for such comparisons! Just a thought!
It is difficult to offer a precise height for a whale jump because they tend to avoid humans when living in the wild, but it is known that a killer whale, or orca, can jump between 10 and 15 feet out of the water. One of the highest whale jumps caught on film is that of an orca jumping 15 feet while chasing a dolphin.
Love this breakdown. The utilization of the choir and his doubling worked so well with the richness of the instrumentation. Obviously, MJ’s vocal control and lower register was butter🔥Amazing reaction as always! You’re helping me become a better artist!
Hawaiian (Polynesian?) music has a structure where one person will call out the first part of a line, then the chorus will sing the whole line. CSN uses it in "Southern Cross": Stills: I've been around the world, CSN: I have been around the world Stills: Looking CSN: looking for that woman-girl
Im a bit worried that nobody's mentioning what "call and response" actually origins from. Its offcourse from gospel music. And more precisely from what gospel music actually begun with. The Afro-American spirituals hymns "Work songs" That before that was an herretige from Africa. And later on was carried furthermore into blues and gospel and after that soul and pop genres. Hopefully we everyone can agree to that. :) / All the best/ J
First of all, CAR can be done with either vocals or instruments, or both, and it dates back to the late renaissance. And second of all, it's "heritage", not "herretige".
@@Saranda4787 And you are good at Swedish ?.... But I guess it was very necessary to point out out that my english that I learned for some 30 years ago is lacking just as the comparison with Gospel music (with this very Gospel like song in mind) Was lesser good. Its the small things in life that counts... :) Or does it.....
You do what I do when I'm not sure what note is coming next.. Your voice goes up in a slope... That's wild I noticed that I must be getting better lol Sat in the studio trying to get inspiration and here I am aha Yeah they should have panned both sides and lowered the volume of the second group panned left and right a few Db
unfortunately, the single-release-version of this song is played the most. But in albumversion, there is not that fade out. that position is some "middle part" with a (what i call) prayer by michael jackson. As the song was used in the Free-Willy-Soundtrack, it didnt fit right in, i guess. but this prayer gives the song a much deeper meaning imho. ❤& ☮

Makes me cry every time.
I love that part when he speaks. You can tell it’s really him and not just him reading what someone told him to say.
No wonder it only has over 200 likes.

In the modern world it comes from Gospel, Blues is influenced by Gospel.

"Killer whales" are actually the largest members of the dolphin family.
