My husband and I were married for going on 41 years. He passed away about 18 months ago from brain cancer. Our son has a 3-year-old and our daughter has a 3 and a half year old both boys. I'm so happy he got to meet them. I took my husband and I's old bedroom painted it and my son helped me turn it into a Marvel playroom. Marvel curtains, Marvel posters.. our grandsons love it. We were laughing hysterically the other day because the 3 year old came into my house and said" I'm going to my "womb". We laughed and I told him.." you don't have a womb you're a boy" of course he looked at me like he was confused😄💙

Maybe for the summer you put your table back in the living room since kids will be home more and you got rid of the chair. Also maybe a different shaped table if you can find one that can be pushed against the wall better. You have a way of finding what you need for free.

I had a smaller space and had a round table that just didn't work so I got a smaller rectangle table that fits against the wall. So far so good.
My granddaughter who has always loved to clean with you is 4 now. She loves seeing Molly! It’s weird how similar two women on opposite coasts can be even though very different. I love Star Wars, writing, gardening, cooking, being frugal sometimes, and most importantly, my family. These types of videos are my favorite. ❤

The about face your little guy did made me chuckle. My kids are the polar opposite. They want to be front and center.
You would think, but they don't want to be on here at all. They see the toxic stuff online. They want privacy and I'm happy for that.

Hi, Kate! I was thinking about what you said about us all being connected in a spiritual, metaphysical way... and it is so true. I dreamed about you the very night before your new channel came up in my notifications! I was so happy to see you and once again receive inspiration from your videos.
Also, I too am working on reducing the plastic in my home and life. I found Humble brand deodorant online, and ordered a variety pack. It is completely plastic free( comes in a cardboard tube,) and the scents are heavenly! Once I have my current deodorant used up, Im going to start using them. I hope they work for me. I use Lush shampoo bars and Lush conditioner bars. Taking baby steps to live more sustainably!
See! That gave me chills. I dream about my friend Star right before she resurfaces. I’ll check out those deodorants.

Kate, I love the buttery yellow that's in your office room and part of the kitchen. I need to paint a room in my house that color. It's so bright and cheery.
I had a thought, would your red shelving unit fit on the wall the fridge was on, and then the table can go over where the shelving unit was and give more of a walking area to flow to the bathroom?
We are currently getting insulation in our walls (we had none in our 125 year old house, and we live in Michigan! Brr!) So we are waiting for the drywall to get done and then start painting walls and I get to play with arranging the house again. I can't wait!
I bet you guys were freezing!! So smart to insulate. And what a difference that will be next winter. I thought about that and the red shelf doesn't fit. I already moved things around and now I'm pooped, lol.

I enjoyed this video. We’re on vacation while I’m watching this, so it was nice to hear you will be prioritizing that for your sweet family as well. We’ve had a couple of no years while we navigate some big goals but we found a way to say a yes this year to celebrate a year of milestones for our little family.
Give us all of your tips and tricks for your cruise. We are planning our first next year to celebrate my middle son’s senior year.

I love your talks, your home and backyard! I didn't realize how big it was all this time. ♥ Because of you, I got back into my writing as well even though it's fanfiction. I do have a fiction story brewing in my head though. Also birds are good pollinators apparently. A bird pooped near our fence line and we have a random blackberry bush growing now.
Lol, those wonderful birds. Blue Jays are great tree planters too. Which is good because they can be mean things. I love that you do fanfiction! Tell me what exactly is the difference between fanfiction and fiction and how do you form your stories and stay inspired. I'm struggling.

@@CoffeeWithKate4 Yes, I do but I'm wanting to change the format myself. I'd like to start to show from start to finish when I go to the food bank instead of just food hauls and other random stuff. I honestly didn't have time. I was moving my dad in and that was a lot of work. Now, I have more time to be creative again. 👍😁

Kate! Such a wonderful video, feels so good to see you again. I have a couple of ideas for your dining table if you are looking to change it. If you want to do some construction work you could close up the bathroom door where it is now (or move it over?) and then put a new door in the wall of your office, which might give you space back in the kitchen for the table. Or maybe even move your food storage from the laundry area and create a dining nook down there if there's room. I can't remember if there's a window already but then you could look out into the yard from the table, and still be near the kitchen. You're so creative you won't think these ideas are weird, will you? Lol. I also love to rearrange.

I’m loving the new camera…everything looks so clear & vibrant! Have you ever considered maybe getting a farmhouse style kitchen table with benches? I feel it would fit better in the small space rather than the round table and bulky chairs…just a thought to help you maximize your space in your kitchen 🌷

I always enjoy your spiritual talk . You are very right that we as adults tend to take things too seriously and don’t enjoy life enough. That is something I’m trying to work on as well.
I’ve been noticing and talking to people about the fact that children live to create. Think about a child if allowed to do whatever they want, they want to color , they want to draw, they want to make things all day long. I babysit the two kids and that’s all they want to do is create.
But we lose that sense of play and creativity as we get older. I know several adults that do nothing creative ever. And they tell me I’m not creative. But you know as a kid they had to have been ! Why do so many people as adults lose the ability to play and create? It is very sad. I think it’s a lot of times just chores housework jobs outside the home take precedence, taking care of your children and your house and the creative stuff falls to the side. I know that happened to me for a little bit and I’m trying to learn how to balance the house and responsibilities with the creativity.
Luckily I’m married to a man that’s very playful and pulls me out when I get too inside myself . Having grandkids helps too!

I remember back when you wanted to home school, and I thought you will love having your children in school out of the house. It helps them in other areas along with academics. Plus, Moms need the break, after years of raising them from pregnancy on. It's a time for us to rediscover ourselves again. Your home was not built with a dining room in mind. If possible, I would see about pushing out the wall in your kitchen to add a dining area. Thanks for sharing . 🥰🌷💐🍒🍋💗✝

I don't know, I pick all sorts of stuff off Uppbeat.
One of my subscribers sent me a bar of shampoo and now I'm hooked. I've been using bar shampoo and bar conditioner.
How's the bar conditioner?
I love it. I also probably wash my hair once a week. I run the conditioner bar through all my hair kind of like a comb and finger comb it in. It takes a while with my hair to get it all coated and detangled. I don’t miss the liquid stuff at all.

That's what we do. Our tax return pays for a family vacation.

@CoffeeWithKate4 we have a lower income for our family size, so our tax returns are pretty large. We've been to a few places so far (we only started a couple of years ago) We've spent time at the dunes on lake Michigan, Arizona...this year we are not going far. We live in Missouri and we are taking the kids to Branson. Instead of spending the money on actual travel we are spending it on activities theme park, water park...all the things. The kids are excited.
Your family will enjoy the adventure. You will probably find yourself wishing you had done this sooner. I know that I wish we started making these memories sooner.
Because of the size of our return, we can do something fun and still put money toward a financial goal.
