Well done, subbed off this and the DA2 reviews… payed a GameCube version of DA1 recently when I saw DA2 was coming out. Like you say here - not amazing but wildly addicting, they got the loop dead on to keep one playing the game!
I played this game a month ago, I did not remember that it was so hard even in normal (I played on ps4 and no problem) I will play 2 with my cousin soon like 20 years ago, it's going to be cool. BTW, I like your humor, I enjoyed your video and I hope you will have the subscribers you deserve! peace
Man, i resonate with the way you and your brother used to play and make each other explode! We also fought for the loot on the ground (the one who played melee got all the loot basically, because he was right under the enemy's nose and could get faster to its drops) Also top 7 things in the game: Undressed elf sorceress Water physics Making the other player explode Loading screens Barely tilting the controller stick to move as slow as possible (those who know know) Jumping around everywhere, especially where you shouldn't be jumping The starting merchant, whose 3 different lines are etched into my mind almost 20 years later
I was so disappointed when it came out. Tried to stream it with a friend and it kept kicking us from the game, enemies just stood still basically and there were so many bugs and glitches. Rant over.
Found out about them re-releasing these games recently. Also found and subbed to your channel when I was trying to find a decent review of these games. I’ve never played Champions of Norrath but hope that one is indeed next. You deserve a lot more subs and views, great videos!

Great video overall! Just stumbled upon this looking at Dark Alliance videos, might play the PS2 rom on my second playthrough instead of the Steam release I got.
I use to see my older cousin rage at this game all time, especially when he blew himself up. Or that one time I did him a favor and saved over his file....lol
A crime that this video only has a few hundred views. I loved this game as a kid and saw it for $30 on steam. I debated about buying it for a long time, but this video saved me from it. I'm looking forward to booting up pcsx2 and running through this nostalgic trip again.
Haha, I really appreciate it! Ya pcsx2 is what I played it on and there are a bunch of hiccups in it for sure but it was free in comparison to the paid version which ran bad for a ton of people anyways. Kind of pick your poison.

I have a beefier rig now, but with the back catalog of games, I hadn't thought about going back to this until you gave me this crazy nostalgia kick for it. I loved your other videos on these mid 2000s action rpgs and I'm definitely looking forward to watching more of your content!

You can also soft mod a ps2 (if you have one) to play your completely legal backups of the game discs. I find that method is more dependable since you’re running it on original hardware. You do lose the fancy upscaling , save game state , and other emulator features.
Three whole years for the sequel to come out. Then this is what we get as a Remaster FFS hey also thanks bro for reminding me watermelon just went out of season completely

My first experience of Dark Alliance was playing the GBA version on an emulator. Not a strong first impression I know. Unfortunately I didn't even know this game existed as a kid and never played it. Oh well at least my toaster shouldn't be able to run this game at above 60fps (the reason for faster game speed).
@@WoddahMaloneGaming Update: Began playing Dark Alliance on PC. Doesn't run on 2x speed just as I thought. Picked Sorc just as you did and HOLY COW DEM JIGGLE PHYSICS! WHY WASN'T THIS BROUGHT UP IN THE REVIEW! The bartender's clothes clip through her boobs and I find that funny
You are able to play the steam port and reduce the game speed by going into your graphics card's 3D settings and capping the application at 60 fps. The physics engine determines how fast your character is based off of framerate.

Dark Alliance 2 has issues with crashing, but hopefully it's fixed in the future even with the issues rather play it on pc than emulated

Now I understand this game would have a better reception if not the "Baldur's Gate" name in the title. I remember testing it in the console of a friend, so excited because I was playing on Baldur's Gate 1 A LOT, modding it to the absurd, and then the 2 was man... this game is endless. And then, only corridors to hack and slash... I drop the game in the first screen remembering: "for that I have Diablo 2, a much better hacky game". This should have another name to not trigger association with the RPG of that moment.
It is running way better now. This was one of my favorite games of my childhood

Baldur's Gate and Champions of Norrath were my FAVORITE games back in the day. I will definitely play them again present day.

I picked this up expecting the crpg style game too but was actually addicted to it straight away since I never played anything quite like this.
