    I have bought myself a brand new Fatboy just a couple of weeks ago, and I really like it. Before that I had a Fatbob . When it comes to corners you are right, a little challenging, however you quickly get used to it. Stability is just absolutely great. I love this bike! Finding neutral is a hassle, had same thing on my other Harley

    Thanks for your video! I just traded in my Ultra Limited 2020 for a Fatboy 2023. I testrode the fatboy (2022) and I tried some manouvres on a parking lot, NO PROBLEM! It just feels different when fat tires. Greetings form Finland, Europe.

    Just bought mine. All the Harley’s I’ve owned were sometimes a bit difficult to find neutral if you wait until you come to a dead stop. I’ve learned, for me anyway, to go to it while still moving (the last 3-4 feet) prior to dead stop. Not saying it will work for everyone every time, but works for me 99 % of the time.

    • @guffinator70

      Thanks Ken, I might try that. I've only just discovered recently that a blip of the throttle with clutch lever pulled in will overcome that almightly clunk when going from neutral to 1st gear (when the oil is warmed up of course, can't do it when it's cold).

    I have a Lowrider S, a Heritage Classic and a Fatboy. Of the 3 the Heritage is the most comfortable for me. The Fatboy comes in a close 2nd. Being 5'6" with a 29 inch inseam, I can still flat foot either bike. I have done 500 mile days on the Heritage, but for around town and shorter rides I do enjoy the Fatboy. If I could find a fairing with an audio system for the Fatboy I might try some longer distance rides.

    Finding neutral on the Fatboy which I have the 2023 model and just recently the Fatbob 2023, punch down on the clutch pedal as if engaging first gear. Release the clutch until creep a touch forward in first. Now tap up to get neutral. Sitting at a set of lights or rolling to stop position it would be very difficult almost impossible to find so always stamp down to first and engage and then find

    You have to adjust the clutch on the Fatboy then it should drop into.neutral easily the clutch can't be riding on the engine at all if you shut the motor off it drops right into neutral that's how I figured that out

    Not finding neutral is a thing that happens with every motorcycle, with me at least. Some sometimes, others more often. In that case I release the clutch a little so the bike moves forward a little. And voila, I find neutral. I have this with my 2019 Fat Boy and with my Honda Blackbird (2001) and with my brothers Yamaha XJR1300.
    Best looking Harley Davidson ever btw. But that is how I feel the Fat Boy.

    Would love to buy a Fatboy - at the appropriate price - given they’re assembled in Thailand (of 49% non-American parts) for everyone in the EU, Asia and Australasia. Same goes for Triumph who are playing the same games. Very disappointed in both of these companies.

  • @willcasp
    @willcasp ปีที่แล้ว +2

    finding neutral on a new Harley seems to be difficult. I don't think it is isolated to the Fat Boy. I am not sure if it a matter of breaking the bike in, or just getting used to how sensitive it is. It does seem to get easier about 1,000 miles in. I ride a 2022 Fat Boy with a 131ci engine.

    • @Doobie603

    • @willcasp
      @willcasp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Doobie603 I really enjoy it. The torque is just insane. I had to do a third party tune to get the most power out of it, which voids the powertrain warranty. Is it worth the expense? I am not sure about that.. but it sure is a lot of fun.. and a great conversation piece when folks notice it. 137hp, 147 lb/ft torque. Using the cam that came with the kit.. could probably get 150hp with a difference cam.

Is this a money pit,is this a bike I can live with for the next 5 years. Been reading HD forums and have been scared after seeing all the issues. I've also been looking at a 2014 Fatboy one owner. I've been wanting a Fat Boy since 2006. They have always been the most ergonomic books I've ever ridden, but I could never find one I could afford. Well, thats no longer the case, and I just put a deposit down on a lightly used (only 900 miles) 2023 anniversary edition.
