I love how he says he's never heard of the London Symphony Orchestra then proceeds to say he's always thought the logo was an octopus with a baton in its hand
8:32 I'm a nerd so I'll explain. Basically, analog and digital are ways of transmitting data. Analog uses waves and digital uses 2 states, most commonly described as 1 and 0 or on and off.
Analog means the old boring straining your eye kind of watch where it spins around and digital represents the new nicer just straight time just shows the time you don't have to read a clock that's spining
6:53 For Continental tires you kinda have too zoom out and you’ll see that the “0” makes up the inside of the tire. The “C” would be the outside or where the tire tread is.
9:02 My guess is the pride is not from the colors, but from the feathers of the peacock itself. I'm pretty sure peacocks spread their wings to show pride and mate
Is NBC's Peacock really hidden though ? I mean isn't that it's entire nickname Peacock? Like seriously what website is this that is telling you the Peacock is "hidden"
8:30 so here's some insight if you are curious: if you are unaware of the concept of Analog and Digital in general, basically Analog is any real world signal, for example, weight, it can infinite number of values, you can be 79.14952 kg heavy for example. but for multiple reasons, it is pretty difficult and easy to mess up to send an analog signal over a channel. there's always error due to different reasons, so your weight would be received as: 79.547 kg or something, or even worse, it could be like 90 kg if things are really bad. so how do you solve this? rather than sending the signal itself as it is, it is transformed to binary, which is basically a certain series of 1's and 0's (like 00010111011010...), so that way, if the noise changes its value, the received signal would have 0.9 instead of 1, or 0.15 instead of 0, which the other person can easily identify as 1 and 0, since they know they will only receive 1s and 0s, and nothing else in between. so they can use the same method to transform the series of 1's and 0's back to the original value, which is 79.14952 kg. so analog and digital are represented by these symbols. digital hows "IO", which can be read as 1 and 0, which is all what a digital signal is made of. the analog symbol is less clear, but we use that shape, a "sine wave" to represent something that is continuous and can take infinite number of value. the opposite of continuous value is a discrete value, and an example of discrete is like a dice, it can only be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. you can't roll a 5.5 on a dice.
