I was raised up never to bad mouth others because it makes you look bad yourself. That being said, after seeing the paraphernalia, 100% justified. I have family members on that stuff who took me for $5k worth of my tools. They are no longer family due to the fact they have no interest in bettering their life and quitting, nor repaying me for my losses. Best advice ever, stay off the drugs. Great video Bryce, look at the back seat the positive way, had it not been screwed in, you likely would have never seen it again...lol. Thanks for sharing this awesome adventure.

Yeah I appreciate it man thank you! I don't like bad mouthing people either, but when you trade them you're perfectly working car 10 years ago and everything was in it and you get it back beat up everything's missing and completely damaged, it's hard not to get irritated in his direction. I'm only human and not perfect, but i appreciate the response 🙏🏻

@@BryceCold I'm with ya 100% man, Glad you went back and saved it. It surely didn't deserve that kind of end. Good thing is that it still has good bones, it's hard to find an old dart that doesn't have a busted torsion bar, or the leafs occupying the trunk...lol.

Way wrong meth to put in a car. I assume the previous owner in between your ownerships was a novice hotroder and heard that adding nitro-meth to the car makes it go fast. Upon seeing the costs, he decided to stick to classic meth.

Had a Valliant 2 door that looked almost exactly like this when I was in my teens, great cars. Those wheels are still awesome, total hotrod vibes of the period, keep em. Always loved these more boxy late 60's/early 70''s mopars.

The Dart sure cleaned up nice! Can't believe how good the wheels looked too! Looking forward to hearing it run again! My first car was a 73 Dodge Dart Swinger with a 225 and auto trans. The A-bodies are great! Should look good next to the Coronet 440 when its back to driver status!

The dart may have had a rough recent history, but it's got a great future. Can't change what's already been done, but I'm certain the vision you have to clean it up will have it looking mighty pretty once she's all done!

Mint oil, mix a little with water in a spray bottle and spritz everywhere. Supposedly spiders do not ike the minty freshness. Have also heard for long term storage outside, mothballs under hood, in trunk and interior keeps rodents away.

Love this old ride because it’s literally identical to moms dark green Plymouth valiant except it was a 340 car, we went on so many long road trips over the 25 years it was in family and then went to my brother lol, I really enjoyed this video as it brought back so many memories from the 80”s which was a fabulous era 😂

That damn glass pipe probably also explains no oil in the pan and the rod knocking.
I was gonna say Moe called in sick and Curly was in charge, but even Curly would have had sense enough not to suck that glass pipe. it destroys everything it touches.
Consider yourself lucky that the car still even exists at all.

One thing that irks me about the hobby is, if I sell a car I care about, chances are good, some idiot is gonna ruin it. It could be worse but the guy you sold it too, really did some dipshit moves.

My grandfather had a 72 Dart! It’s funny because he gave it to us when he got a new car in the late eighties/early nineties when I was little and I never really thought about it as a cool car. Now I wish we’d kept it, but the doors would fly open while it was locked if you leaned on them just a little bit. His had a black vinyl soft top and was bright blue. I’m sorry that other guy took such shitty care of your car. It was really satisfying as a viewer to see it get cleaned out, but it must have sucked to find what you found in something that was so important to you. Dick move on the part of that other dude. Looking forward to seeing it get brought back to life. 🥹

Oh wow that's awesome. It would have been really cool to have that car in your family still! Also, thank you. Yeah, it does suck that he treated the car so poorly, especially when we were on the phone talking about buying it back, he always referred to it as "Your car" and never his. Which pissed me off even more because he probably never considered it his and still trashed it anyway because he didn't care. Well I have it back now so that's all that matters 👍🏻
