I understand the reason to "why centimeters" but I learned yesterday that unity likes it in meters (I don't know about other engines). In fact in tutorial for Maya that is the reason they chose meters, although they also make props (smaller than a car). So my question is: will it be that bad if I chose meters over centimeters? What are the concequences?
Ηρώ Τ. You can select meters if you like. It won’t make that much of a difference. I mainly wanted my students to avoid inches, which is the default setting. I prefer centimeters because of all of the small props, you’ll just work in .01 while I work in 1. NBD. :)
Here your list of how to make a good tutorial video: * Get to the point quickly. We don't need to know why snaps are great because we're already here looking for the info. * Mouse cursor highlights are good, but not if they cover up what you're actually pointing at. Lower the opacity of that yellow circle. * Have a script. Be more prepared. Too much "eeerrr" and "hmmmm". * Actually show us the snaps. This one is the most important.
You have no idea how much I needed this !😭 thank you so much !
I'm so glad!
coming back to these videos to relearn after taking your class 7 years ago lol

Glad to hear that

@@ClaytonDonnan Thanks so much for the quick response!
Thanks for video. Is there intersection snap between 2 lines?
Not, really. You can choose midpoint of an edge, but you have to set your snap settings to change the snap grid. Good luck!

Should have actually showed us snapping. That would have been helpful
This was painful to get through.
For a beginner the whole snapping process is extremely difficult. Thanks for the video but it didn't help that much.
