I can't wait to make this with the kiddos! In fact I think I may even use this idea as the 1st project I do with the womens crafting and sewing group I'm starting next month in our housing complex. The group is designed to help encourage us to get to know our neighbors better while bonding over various activities. I think this will be a super fun project to kick that group off with. This is an absolutely adorable scarecrow. I've always bought my wreaths because i feel intimidated to try and make one. Your video has motivated me to give it a go. Beautiful. Great idea! I live in Florida and cannot put any hot glued items outdoors. It's in the 80's here most of the year, so hot glue would melt. I think I'm going to put him indoors. Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to make him.

Oh goodness Maymay you knocked this out of the park my sweet friend!!! I was working on a scarecrow head too but, was using poly-fill for the head until I seen this!!!! Thank you so much for sharing I love him!!

When I went to visit my brother last Oct. in Missouri (by Springfield) it seemed like every house had something hanging on their door or by the door. I loved that. Here in California it's not as popular. However, I have always hung seasonal things on my door. Must be the Missourian in me. lol For the super frugal crafter's out there, you can purchase most of these products at the Dollar Store, just sayin.

He needs some blush! If he is covered you can use regular blush. But I always use a special color chalk and big brush. Then I spray with never wet. Keeps everything from getting wet. Love all your tutorials, you and your mom just seem like down to earth people. That makes all of us out here more comfortable. Thanks for everything you do for us,much appreciated!
Cheaper alternative to the raffia hair is dollar store 'hula skirt'--that's what I use when making scarecrow stuffed pants. Raffia is expensive up here in Ontario, Canada. The stitching just abso makes the wreath. Great job ❤️❤️❤️
I love loved loved this and couldn't wait to get the wreath so I stacked 4 donuts of cardboard....glued them and wrapped with plastic bags n old t shirts til rounded edges looked like a wreath. Also used old shirt for face and...had a straw hat I got from Dollartree last week for photo prop.....so check them too. This could be an all stash project!!!
