I always belly sleep my babies I just made sure their head was laying one or the other my babies alway let in my room until about 8 or more months. I know I was a mom along time ago all my kids are in their fifties. I love my mommy years more than jb in the outside the home. *I was bless to choose how Wanted to raise my babies my hubby help when he was home but I never got him up at night because he work many long hours a day but because I really bonded with each baby when I spend quiet time feeding at early morning before family life got busy each day.

My kids were belly sleepers too. Not because I believe some conspiracy about vaccines… but because I read the data and made the informed decision. There are no credible sources that vaccines cause SIDS. I’ve been a pediatric nurse for over 10 years with a research background and I have done the digging. Unfortunately, the cause of SIDS is not known.

Thank you for talking about the division of labor. I totally think that if our husbands have been working long hours, we should recognize and value their contribution instead of devaluing and dismissing their efforts. You’re so funny and I love your straightforwardness and attitude! I am in a different phase of life than you, as my children are grown and it’s just my husband and I at home. He has a full-time job outside of the house and I work full-time from home, and also manage the ins and outs of running a household. I agree with your logic 100% regarding, what a woman’s/mothers role is in caring for the home and the children. I enjoy caring for our home and cooking delicious meals and I wish more women in general share this attitude. Your home is your haven and your safe place and you should feel privileged in making it the most comfortable place for yourself… ladies-it’s not an obligation, it’s an absolute joy and privilege to do so! Oh how I miss the sweet newborn stage. I was blessed to have twelve children, two of whom I had in my 40s (42 and 46). To say that I'm an oddity in today's culture is an understatement, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I was pregnant along with my two oldest girls, and we have grandchildren older than our youngest children. We have twelve grandchildren so far. I truly enjoy watching the younger generation embrace and cherish their roles as mothers. Children are a gift and a heritage. On another note, we love Monkey Bread and you just reminded me that we haven't made it in a while. Time to add it back into rotation. Blessing to you and your family.

I've been a mom for 33 yrs and I am a big believer in if the mom stays home to raise the children and the father leaves the home to work then the homemaking chores are taken care of by the mom. With that said, if mom works outside of the home as well then chores should be 50/50. There's my 2 cents worth. 😁

I was a teen mom and relied heavily on my elders and pediatrician for information and advice about babies. It is like a breath of fresh air listening to you talk. Thank God, I think he sent your videos to my youtube. I was banned on all my other social medias over the last few years and my family treats me differently now that I think for my self and decided to home school my 4 children. Ah well, we won't be understood and the world will have their opinions. I had an emergency c section and tube's tied after my last baby,(I have no idea why but I had an erupted placenta 1 mo premature) and the OB told me I still needed to be on birth control. I told her no of course. All my children loved to sleep on their bellies and I co sleep with and bf my baby. I have 2 un V'd children and it is really obvious the difference it made. Any ways, you're amazing keep making these videos so more mama's can hear this wisdom. ❤

I think division of labor would be a great conversation!! I NEED it! I’m a 28 yr old mother of two who is also a SAHM that homeschools and cooks mainly from scratch. It is hard and it’s hard not to resent my husband for not lending a helping hand with the kid’s extra curricular activities or house chores. Trust me, I don’t want to argue so I need another wise woman’s advice.❤️ Most of the women in my life are feminist or have modern outlooks so it’s hard to talk to them.
Also, belly sleeping is fabulous! My first didn’t really do it but my second took to it so natural! I didn’t question it much and then I read the benefits and was glad that I listened to my instincts.

I think it’s valuable to keep in mind that, in Christ’s time, women lived in generational households where one woman didn’t do it *all.* That continued in some form or fashion until the 1900’s. In the 1950s we got the Protestant notion of a perfect housewife, and that was one woman who did it *all.* Unsurprisingly, those women often ended up taking drugs to cope. We weren’t made it do it all on our own! Bring back the large family units!

My baby is 4 weeks old now and my husband hasn't changed one diaper. My mother in law told my husband that he better help with diapers. I told her I don't expect him to change diapers....that's my job. I know she meant well but my husband works hard to support us and I find this to be my job. I take care of night care also. No need for two adults to be sleep deprived. I bath her, I dress her. He will step up and hold her if I am trying to make dinner and she starts to cry. Or watch her if I need to shower.... I know some people don't see that as "fair" but that's how we do things here. My husband didn't tell me this was my job. I told him that this is my job.

My daughter had her third baby at the end of last August. She is attached to my daughter, so much so, that she continually cries if she is not holding her, or the few times she's not cried when I held her, my daughter had to be right next to me. She went through a time when she wouldn't allow her daddy to hold her, without screaming. I told Elisabeth, my daughter, that this time will pass, and to try to enjoy the time with her, because housework could wait, but this special time with her baby will end. We live only 10 minutes from her, so we often take their other two children. Thankfully, Lily, her baby, has started to ease up a bit, so my daughter can go get groceries or a long over do massage that her husband scheduled for her, and Lily was good with her daddy!

I’ve definitely learned overtime that the score keeping will cause resentment and alot of it formulates from outside influences feeding the subconscious. Deep in my soul I LOVE taking care of my home, I LOVE making food that my husband and kids enjoy and devour and knowing it’s healthy for us. I resented for awhile that I did the cooking and majority of cleaning because I was surround by influences that told me I should. However I realized I prefer it that way and I allowed my self to accept that it was truly an enjoyable task for me. There’s things I’m good at and there’s things my husband is good at and we just conquer and divide that way. We both have had periods of time where we worked and didn’t work since having kids and we respected and supported each other each time. Our oldest is almost 4 and we have finally in this last year just accepted our non traditional views/ways of living and stopped fighting against what our heart and souls desired for our family and our marriage.

I'd much rather a family rely on birth control than have kids they have no mental capacity or monetary stability for raising. Life is expensive and can be hard. First, CONGRATS on little man!! Secondly, THANK YOU! for keeping it real. I have been into Sour Dough making for only a year, but bread baking for many... and have BURNT many. Lol! You live and learn. I have been a mom now for 38 years, blessed with 3 healthy boys! (belly babies as well)💙🙏I do this and work full time. My husband helps me tremendously, as we are both hands on inside and outside. I would LOVE to have a large homestead, but instead, I homestead on our acre or so land. I am now in the making of a beautiful backyard orchard, adding both fruit and regular trees, shrubs and flowers along with raised beds. Just wanted to say I love your videos and look forward to them. xo🤍

Thank you for talking about the 50/50 argument. My husband works 12 hour shifts, sometimes 24 hour shifts in the military and being sleep deprived is not safe for him. I'd rather take on a majority of the responsibility of child-care so that he can safely get to work and return home to us. Especially since I plan on EBF, it can't be 50/50 cause there's no way for him to do that XD. The score keeping is so illogical if you're supposed to be a team. Would I like for him to watch our baby once in awhile so I can go take a shower or a quick nap on the weekends? Sure. But that's not going to be the standard for me. I see so many SAH military spouses wanting to "turn off" motherhood once dad gets home from work and "be themselves" and have him do the childrearing "equally", but that's not what God created you for. You don't get to be a mother when it's convenient to you. Your videos give me a lot of assurance as a FTM that my decision to stay at home and take care of the house is not crazy or selfish like a lot of people these days say.

    • @Kra-ri6fd
      @Kra-ri6fd หลายเดือนก่อน

I think being a stay at home mom is one of the nest gifts you can give to your family. I am a veteran and so is my ex-husband. I had my two oldest kids while in the military. I regret that I wasn't a stay at home mom then. My working full time effected my kids mental, spiritual, and physical health. It effected my health. And I am sure it damaged my marriage. I am now remarried and just had my first daughter 4 weeks ago. I am a full time stay at home mom and the difference between this experience and raising my boys is night and day. I wouldn't trade this for the world. Others can think whatever they want of you but you are truly the wiser one. God bless.

A mother of seven here. Wraps were not a thing in my day… I can’t say that I would have ever used one if they were. It seems foreign to me. But I did learn to cook one handed really quickly. I always seemed to have a baby in the arm while cooking with the other. Or at least put them in a swing right near me in the kitchen. I couldn’t nurse well so I was very grateful for my husband who would take weekend night duties with the babies if he didn’t have to get up early for anything. Otherwise it was my responsibility to take care of their little needs. He works so hard to support us otherwise I never demanded anything out of him. But when he volunteered I was always grateful! I agree about belly sleeping. All seven of mine were belly sleepers. I agree that is NOT the cause of Sid’s at all. My husband helps me make our bed every single morning! And monkey bread is my family’s favorite as well!

Thank you for sharing everything in this video - postpartum, division of labor, baby sleep, food, and large families. There is so much truth to what you said but most people on the internet are afraid to say it out loud.
We have 4 children and I find it so awful when people ask “do you not know what cause that?!” I cannot wrap my head around the rude comment. Children are a blessing from the Lord. Congratulations on baby #5!

My mom had 9 children, and when we went to any family gathering, she made A LOT of food. Her sister in-law had 6 children and I specifically remember them always just bring a watermelon to any family function! I'm 61 years old, and still remember that! My mom grew and canned it froze most of our food, so I appreciated that she made every holiday and picnic special, by making delicious food from scratch! Yesterday, I made my grandma's banana cake recipe. It makes a huge, dense, moist cake! I always think of family when I make a family recipe.

Another great option for cooking hard boiled eggs is in a pressure cooker. Cook for 3 minutes then take out & put in cold water. The shells fall right off, we eat a lot of eggs here & I do this all the time now. Great video as always girl, so love how your sharing the correct history of babies, child birth, vaccines etc. My husband & I are empty nesters of 6 kids & have 3 in heaven, love seeing more large families come out of the wood work so to speak!!😊
