- In this video, I take you through the process of crafting a unique item, showcasing both metalwork and woodworking skills. The project features a rare 200-year-old ash burl used for the handle, adding a special historical touch to the piece.
This project was created solely for educational purposes and the item was destroyed after filming. I demonstrate various techniques for working with metal and wood, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern tools. This video is not intended to encourage the creation of such items for any other purpose.
Watch till the end to see how it all comes together and pick up some tips for your own projects! Feel free to leave any questions in the comments, and I’ll be happy to answer them.
Key stages in the video:
Material selection
Forging the metal
Heat treatment
Crafting the handle from a 200-year-old ash burl
Final finishing and polishing

Extremely beautiful. Thank you for sharing. A little explanation though would have been great. Otherwise i will never know why burning silicone or glue or whatever it was you put on the blade will help making a sword.
Виглядає дуже гарно 👍👍👍
