- ⚠️ IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE PLACING THIS APARTMENT: the Sims 4 doesn't typically lets us upload apartments to the Gallery, so rather than uploading all 20+ rooms and platforms individually, I uploaded the ground floor and 2nd floor of this apartment.
When you download both floors, try saving each room to your library and placing them individually on the apartment like a puzzle. You can refer to the floorplans you downloaded. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvience. We have yet to have an update where we can download and upload apartments with platforms.

This is my very first Japanese-inspired interior, so if I missed something or made any errors pertaining to the style, feel free to let me know. I really appreciate honest feedback and I'm learning to become better at interior design especially with international styles. I request that you be polite however, and keep in mind that this is the Sims 4 🙂 The game has its limits too.
*On the shoji screens for bathroom doors: there's an IRL type that's made of acrylic so it's waterproof 😊 it's the Sims so you can use your imagination
This was so beautifully done. If anything, traditionally toilets have their own small room, usually next door to the bathroom which is also split into two sections: one with a sink and where people would undress to bathe, which is connected to another room with the actual tub and shower in. But this build is so beautiful and I'm going to go play in it asap! Thank you!!!
@@zenadiaperry3232 thank you so much for your feedback! Yes this is something I definitely missed, and a couple of people had already pointed this out. I'm definitely going to try again someday, and build a traditional style Japanese home with better bathrooms 😅
I know people have replied about the bathrooms, but your master bath I've actually stayed in a nice japanese hotel with a similar set up! I think to explain the theory for building; It's all about 'wet room' and 'dry room' and if its really cheap they're all a wet room haha. Most bathrooms actually are lowered on the platform, so If you like using platforms, it would make more sense to put the 'dry side' (toilet, sink), on a platform, and a floor drain will always be on the wet side. A lot of times there is just a sudden drop in cheap houses in the wet room LOL. Just some theory ideas because this was really cool I hope you do this style in the future! OH! And I noticed you didn't put an oven, a wealthy apartment might actually have one. But good detail!
@@brewwin thank you for the input! I really appreciate it 😊 This apartment may be large but some areas had to be reduced sadly. The Sims 4 has its limits too, and I couldnt lower the platforms on the second story 😅. I called it luxurious because it certainly wouldnt be cheap living here. My mistake was not putting enough research on the bathrooms. I'm considering doing a traditional Japanese home someday to make up for my errors in this build
