Quan chis standing 4 is so sick it’s like a full screen combo starter and extender it’s like he’s fighting you across the map. Sektor is a good kameo for him.
only thing i dont like is that his low tentacle takes 2 bars to make it an amplified launcher like bruh do they forget they got characters like johnny who have 3 different 0 bar launchers😂😂😂
@@NotRestless0quan chi’s projectile game is mid/low without the portal. His ex projectile has a 30+ frame startup. His pokes are decent at best. Quan chi’s damage potential with his two bar launcher is comparable to what Johnny could get meterless.

OH skull tracks on EX, EX bone cage last for like 5 seconds on the ground, and s4 is essentially a 70 dmg(as much as the average projectile) special cancellable "fireball" that tracks. Also "without portal" it is not hard to get the portal up, especially not in a game with assists like this. His zoning is crazy, don't down play it.
One thing I can say is that this character is really good, but sonic makes every character look good. That's why he is the best. He can make a bad character and prove to people that character is not that bad. I love it.
Sonicfox has never failed to show me a characters full potential. His zoning is so crazy that if it’s a zone game I’m usually betting on Sonicfox to win.

Quan does seem to be a bit lacking so far, no great reversal, slow normals, 2 bar launcher for some reason? He's still viable but there are just better options if you want to play a zoning character. He has some good matchups but also really really bad ones; wouldn't be surprised to see him get buffed in the future
Seems very glass canon-like. He has so many setups at a distance and from these areas and can do crazy damage, but the moment he makes a mistake and distance is caught he takes a LOT of damage it feels like.

He's nowhere close to the joker. Quan has terrible buttons and pokes. No confirmable mid, average zoning at best unless you manage to set up the portal which isn't easy. Nothing he can do to stop people in your face.

@@calebcanning318 his frame data is the problem, his damage isn't a problem at all. And yes the 2 bar launcher is dumb. Fix his frames and then he might have a tool to get someone off you, his armor move sucks, he doesn't have a 7 frame button, no confirmable mid.

But I mean it seems like quan chi has the ability to make opponents guess a little more because his moves are a bit more mysterious than other players. Keeping quan chi at a neutral position seems key. Close range battles don’t seem the way to go but like I said I don’t play games so why do I know

The two-bar meter burn isn't a problem. Quan earns meter faster than anyone in the game. Learn to PLAY the character instead of theory-crafting off of a spreadsheet.
I feel that Quan Chl is the new king of zoners in mortal Kombat 1.. he is so good, especially with Sub-Zero as a cameo because you can have ice armor... Jesus imagine what Khamelien is going to do for him? Chameleon is going to make Quan Chi a very good offensive character because she can make him immune to projectile

I’ve been trying to do it and I can’t for the life of me get it, the 1+3 after the standing 4 is really difficult for me and a lot of the time I’ll hit the standing 4 but instead of a 1+3 it’s just standing 3 that comes out, and even when I do manage to get passed that the second standing 4 into the second tentacle grab always fails too, I’ll hit the standing 4 but the tentacle won’t connect for whatever reason, idk if it’s a timing issue, or if I’m not pressing fast enough idk but my fingers are not enjoying Quan chi whatsoever😭
I main smoke thought I need to change after first couple of rounds then he started smashing it. Don't think I can whip them cancels like him but yeah there's a bit of hope left. Just looks so hard to get in on quan chi at range
