Wow I’m so sorry to hear this! What a loss !! But such a win for the Angels choir… I hope somehow somebody will step in and help his daughter get his other originals produced and sang by somebody that will respect the integrity of the music ! Because he was such a AWESOME ARTIST I know there has to be more of his emotional songs that we the fans would love and buy as long as the vocalist was as good as he because he was Amazing!

Nolan and I's parents grew up together. His mom and my late dad were great friends. He played at my father's memorial. An incredible guy, incredible musician, and incredible writer. So glad he has been able to grace everyone with every bit of it. Third time's a charm Nolan!!! 🖤

I've been a fan of Nolan ever since he was on "The Voice" a couple years back. I love how he wears his heart on his sleeve when he explains his story. He used to be the lead singer of the rock band, "Hinder," too! They missed out on a gem, but it's their loss. Nolan, if you read this, this is only the beginning. You are changing lives!!! 🤘🏼

What a talent. Just hear that he passed away today, July 19, 2022. So glad he left us with his inspirational singing at talent both on AGT and the Voice. Pray that he is at peace right now. He will be missed.

3 years ago i lost a friend to suicide. He would be 18 on Saturday. After he died I went through a really rocky patch. I completely understand this guy. He really touched my heart. And a lot of people’s.

The applause of the audience when Nolan shared his time clean amazed me. as a former addict I don't see drugs as a disease because it was a choice although a bad choice. I don't feel it's fair to label it a disease in comparison to many cancers that especially affect children who have been dealt a bad hand and did nothing to deserve it. Yet it is an illness and the greatest war to fight righteously is the war against drugs. Seeing the respect the audience gave really helped me see the level of understanding we still have and gave me hope to come out of a dark place. I felt ashamed and regretted wasting time but fortunately I now feel blessed I'm not wasting time anymore. Thank you nolan, the incredible got talent teams and the audience.

I wish there were some way I could show you how amazing life feels once you let your brain heal from all the damage the chemicals cause. Once I finally decided to trust my doctor and my sponsor.... my brain finally healed and now it releases dopamines when it's supposed to and I can handle life so much better! The drugs and alcohol actually make handling life so much worse in the long run! Which I feel like you know already. It's such a tricky thing... and it's something that can't be explained very well... and sometimes it has to be experienced first. But if you can somehow just trust me and avoid the experience part of the spiral, I swear to you, J Hoop, you will come out on the other side of this and look back one day and sigh in relief!!! Having my grandfather kill himself in his home and us hearing about it from my mother who walked in and saw him lifeless gave me chill. This man embodied every feeling I’ve had since the news got broke to me. I also used to battle with depression and used drugs to cope. I cried to this one. And I want him to go far. Please please please go far Nolan keep pushing.

This was also a son featured on a Saliva album years ago. Lyrics are slightly different for the show but very cool to see who wrote it and the story behind it
Colton Omega these are the original lyrics and when he ask Saliva to record it, they changed the verses to make it more dark, I mean, can you hear Bobby singing, “sunshine where’d you go today?” lol I like saliva‘s version too! Nolan and Bobby have written tons of songs together, type in Bobby Amaru and Nolan Neal, there’s several videos on TH-cam.

Nolan Neal's vocal power was incredible.
I was fortunate enough to meet him while in drug rehab in 2019 and he spent a lot of nights playing for us and singing his originals as well as covers.
A little over 4 years later, fortunately I am still clean. I hate that Nolan wasn't able to find stability and peace here on Earth.
This song hits so much harder now that you're gone, man. Those of us who felt your impact miss you very much, man,

I've been waking up for work and every morning I'm waiting on new auditions to pop up from AI or the voice, saw your daughter's audition than reminded of you. Today I find myself literally shedding a tear for you. Lost my brother in June from suicide. Just devastated this morning. I had no idea. I'm hurting for you and your family, your voice and talent hit to the core. This all just brought feeling of pain,remorse. God rest your soul.
I'm here after watching his daughter audition on American Idol. I saw Nolan at this 1st audition and also on his Voice audition and he knocked me out both times. The 1st time I saw him do this song, I had to re-watch that insane guitar riff at 5:00 over and over again. I'm doing the same thing today. What a talent! RIP....

I’m crying over this comment. My tribute post to Nolan included that he was able to voice the feelings and struggles that so many people have been burdened with. He truly wanted to be a light for others. I’ve been close with this man for almost a decade and I keep coming back to listen to this performance even though I’ve heard him sing this song countless times. This one is special. He tapped into something on this day.

I have lost countless friends since returning from overseas and if not for my wife, I too would be a statistic. I am sure of it. I am one of the lucky ones, even though I sometimes forget and get lost... which hopefully... some day, will be "for the last time..."

Im still crying! I love this song and everything it represents!
this song and his voice was so beautiful. and you could hear the pain in his voice. it was amazing in a way. I also completely understand how he felt when losing someone. I lost my older brother last year to suicide and it was extremely hard for me and my family and still is but, I love that he is inspiring me and others while sharing his story! this was an awesome performance.

Coming back to this and hearing his message about his own father's passing is so heart-breaking and haunting. I wish nothing but the best for his daughter and may him and his family all find peace.
