Holy shit, John screaming at the end of the song has so much intensity to it.
Nolan still feels that song i think
Damn they haven't sounded this good ever, and that is saying something. They never let me down
"this song is called "there's no 'I' in team - which is true"
Whoever mastered this deserves a raise
of all languages my man choose to spoke facts
Right? Fucking excellent performance!
The crowd was amazing..
This tour feels like it was just yesterday, yet somehow TAYF is almost 20 years old now???
We old bro
This tour was amazing. We saw them and bayside play NJ days after Sandy
A lot of people are commenting on the "Brand New" lyrics, ll of which were in the original TAYF recordings. Jessie was in the band and left to form Brand New. Those were his lyrics left in the song. Theyve been there all along under the lead vocal lines. Go back and listen to the original track.
"Those were his lyrics left in the song" No -- This was a completely new song written after Jesse left -- they ripped the lyrics from Seventy Times Seven. But yes, they were always there on the LP. Just hard to hear the second part.
Refrain for the song, probably to confirm that the song is a response to 70x7.
"Is that what you call tact your as subtle as a brick in the small on my back. So lets end this call end this conversation." Jesse lacey
actually the best friends part was the part jesse took for his song and in return they took the bridge part
Nolan buddy, this passion 👌👌 bring it back 😍
Right? :)
Hasn't it been more than 10 years now?
This is a show they had to miss during the TAYF10 Tour, so they made it up to them
Ahh, classy. I didn't get a chance to see the tour. They should make it up to me by giving me a personal show.
Woah….
Had no idea CZsWorld likes TBS 💜🤟🏻
Back when music gave you Chills!! Awesome!
That Brand New mash up gave me chills.
Yeah, this song was written was a response to Seventy Times Seven.
Hadlee Simons not as a response. this song was written by Jess Lacey of Brand New, when he was in TBS
Heh, I knew he was in TBS but did he write the song?
Because I do recall in There's No I in Team, "I've got a twenty dollar bill" is also said, which was seemingly a reference to Mixtape. Heck, even Wiki's entry for Tell All Your Friends says so. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tell_All_Your_Friends
Weird.
Hadlee Simons hey i see you are a big tbs fan.. so am i.. do you know of any cool tbs forums? are forums still around? i remember back in 2004 i was in a dashboard confessional forum.. damn it i forgot the name but i used to get tabs and live videos… it was cool!
Hadlee Simons Those original lyrics were written by Vincent Accardi of 'Brand New' in the song Mixtape. Somehow from dispute John Nolan of (Straylight Run and TBS) stole the lyrics when he was starting the band with TBS. It was a dispute that dissolved some friendships. However Vincent Accardi wrote the lyrics not that it matters.
we NEED a Brand New, Straylight Run, TBS tour please
so true!! i really wanna hear them all live 😭 especially Brand New
CANT WAIT FOR JANUARY 26 2019!
I want to be at a show so bad. I won't miss it when you guys tour with the new album.
I always wanted to hear this fucking song live, I thought it would never happen. All the feels.
Funcking awesome! And gorgeous!
Come back to Pittsburgh or some place close we can drive to!
OMG WHEN NEIL ADDED THE 70X7 VERSE!!!! YESSSS
It's in the original recording of this song too
1:39 I'm feeling it lol
This sent goosebumps down my back! Excellent!! Amazing! Fucking holy fuck my ears that was the shit!
How is this almost 10 years old... time, please slow down
shit, wish i could've gone to a tayf10 show. sounds fucking killer
His name is Neil Rubenstein he's friends with tbs used to be in some bands I believe
Yes. He was in a few harcore bands on long island.
I wish I was there 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Who is the guy screaming at 2:25 ? I thought he sounded great, and I wanna hear more songs of him! Is he a permanent member of the band?
neil rubenstein, he was the original on the track on the album
altnation17 and they introduce him before he screams haha idk how you didnt catch it
Wasn't jessie the original on this track? What he is screaming is also in a brand new song.
MMGlavan I thought it was jesse in the original too because he used to be in the band before they split and the same lyrics are in Seventy Times Seven by Brand New
www.alterthepress.com/2010/10/behind-scenes-neil-rubenstein.html they just took the words that jesse used for neil's part
Pretty sure this is tbs's come back to Jesse from brand new, it's over a girl...correct me if I'm wrong.
Damn when the Seven times 7 lyrics came in.... I didn't know what to think, My mouth just dropped.
Yeah it has always been in the song XD
is this what you call tact???
when was this filmed? sept 11 or 12? i went to the sept 11th show… i was in the crowd!
I started something I could not finish....
What Brand New mash up?
It has always been like that, in the original track it is underlined in the background vocals
Please come to Indonesia.. :(
Adam doesn't sound like he used to at all, it's like he's not even trying. He doesn't sound like the original track. What the hell happened, I was a fan from like 2002 all through Louder Now, after that I wasn't into the new sound at all.
Man, then I check back in on them years later and I guess I just wish they put more energy into their shows like they used to. I was on the itunes homepage and saw their name was trending, I was hopeful that they were good again but I'm not into this new style and sound. I miss Adam's old voice.
holy shit theyve got older and dont sound 19 years old. holy shit theyre a little more mature on stage.. those fuckers! lets lynch their next concert lol if jim croche cant save time in a bottle, then no one can hahaha
He was a teen when they originally recorded this. Of course he doesn't sound the same! Get real!
Are you serious right now?? This show had so much intensity!! I thought the performance was amazing
OH TH-cam PEOPLE.. i was being ironic.. that was a joke. this is a great performance
Gerard Way was already nearing 40s (when they last performed as MCR) yet sounded like himself all throughout and the mere fact that Adam is not a natural singer. Hehe. BUT, it's up to Adam to put effort to sound like his teen self again. Only effort. Hehe.
I think this sounds damn good, all the haters can get bent! lol
Damn
Wow no dislikes
Nolan reeeeeeeally lost it in the singing. He's gotta let it loose more
tfw you still not about Brand New.
Sounds awesome. I still miss Fred though.
Just want to say I find this to be a compliment but they're like a modern day matchbox twenty
There is actually and I in TEAM look at the A in different font there is an I in team. Found it
Omg i cant wait im going there tonight to see a bvb concert
why do they play it so slow nowdays?
I'm not sure what you're talking about. It's only slightly slower than on the recording, and I had to really listen before I heard it.
Cuz now they suck live
Because u must feel the song
😥
:58-59
Which is true lol
Is this a cover band? I don't see any members of TBS
Why did they start singing Seventy Times 7 during the break?
aten97 this was Taking Back Sunday's response to Jesse Lacey writing seventy times seven for when his gf cheated on him with John. The last conversation they had with each on the phone finished with, "is that what you call tact? You're a subtle as a brick in the small of my back so let's end this call and end this conversation". The statement Seventy times seven means forgiving. Jesse, John and Adam played together before he left and made brand new.
...Or so that's how it's perceived by the interviews. Who really knows
aten97 have u heard the song before u dipshit?
if i asked that question what do you think
Soul Intent I think he meant the part where the guest vocalist sang the first part of the seventy times 7 bridge.
Nikki X it's because it was originally in this song before Seventy times 7. It was originally Jesse's vocal part before he left Taking Back Sunday.
hahahahha
Q!
Adam looks like an emo kid who grew and became a bro, does dead lifts and shit and grunts and yells in gyms
i kinda hate how adam sings with his accent.... it's not how they intended the original -.-
Absolutely. It is common knowledge that once a man hits his 30s, he develops this Southern accent. The original version's vocals did not contain a hint of southern influence.
herportraitinblack33 I fucking love his accent
Jovi2112 He’s from alabama i think.
Jovi2112 He’s from the south actually, he lived in NY for awhile but he’s back in Texas. People tend to get their accents back when they go back home. My ex is from Boston and whenever we were around his family he would get that accent back for awhile.
They sounded better with fred mascherino.
Fred was trash
Am I the only who doesn't like that a 3rd guitarist is there? (he's there for purposes for sure, but dang!)
im gay
ju pl
Not the same without Fred
John was the one in the band when this album got released 😂 🤡
Please come to Indonesia.. :(
