- You will never get the support that you think should have it.
One of the key things that you have to learn is resilience in realize that the process is not about science as you think about it, but it’s the process of being resilient and dealing with adversity every day.
Your job is to learn a bury around yourself so that you can get back up and do it again the next day.

I feel this happens in industry as well. I expected to need way less soft skills when we all have the same organizational goals. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I like the word' that you used " isolated" . I have been isolated for 3 years now. I felt that no one could understand what I was going through. At the end, I realized that I 've been a giving person for everyobody untill I was stuck in this programm, I did not find any nice gestures.
Research is a walk alone journey, my supervisor always says: " I throw you to the sea and let you know how to swim. Then, it is up to you to learn how to swim or drown"
