- A voter turnout of 66.14 per cent was recorded in Phase 1 and 66.71 per cent was recorded in Phase of Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission said on Tuesday. The first phase of polling was held on April 19 across 102 constituencies and the second phase was held on April 26 for 88 constituencies. There was a drop in voter turnout in the two phases as compared to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. A voter turnout of 69.43 and 69.17 per cent in the first and second phases respectively was recorded in the 2019 polls. In the first phase of polling, Lakshadweep (84.16%) recorded the highest voter percentage while Bihar (49.26%) recorded the lowest voter turnout of the twenty-21 states and Union Territories that voted on April 19.

Unemployment issue , Agriculturist issue, womens unsafety , corporate individuals growing day by day , poor people become very poor. Current situation is very hard to resolve it..

That has been the model ever since and is being exported to Democracies in the Global South to dislodge candidates who don’t pass the West's litmus test.
Prices react to Global forces. Developing countries cannot escape those forces. Ukraine war has been a factor as also the depreciation of currencies in most countries due to high interest rates in the US. The combined effect is a rise in energy and commodity prices. India's currency and inflation has been steadier than in other countries, particularly its neighbors who are near bankruptcy.

Sorry, these are common concerns of people across all countries.. even in US people whine about high tax, inflation, unemployment etc.. it's very hard for big country like India to keep the inflation under some control which Modi regime has done effectively during his time.. think about positives - direct benefit for poor, economy on track to get to 5T, infrastructure, digital innovation, consolidation of taxes (otherwise there will be hidden tax by states), water, electricity and toilets to everyone, free houses for poor, medical insurance for poor at private hospital, ram mandhir for hindu sentiments etc.. there are crores of people getting benefited.. We havent seen any big time caste and religious fights among people (we used to see lots of these during congress and terrorist attacks), people feel country is safe under Modi.. these religious, caste etc are only build up by opposition, people should think all of these before voting.. and above of all who is in opposition if not Modi ?

Why the number of votes was not given instead of percentage.
That will also be given. All the info is in each booth’s form 17c which all party representatives already have in their hands for all booths.
So stop worrying about the net voters number, it is already in public domain, it just needs collation.

Did you see the interview? He explained the process and it shows that if at all, there is any discrepancy then they have to change the entire system (up until booth agent's signature with the date & the copy and the uploaded copy on the server timestamp). Lol... is this even possible?

The Election Commission of India (ECI) Released the final voter turnout figures for the first two phases of the Lok Sabha Elections on April 30. The announcement came 11 days after the first phase polling on April 19, and four days after the second phase on April26.
According to the poll panel's data, the voter turnout for the first phase of polling was 66.14%, making a drop of about 4% compared to the first phase in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Similarly, the turnout for the second phase was 66.71% reflecting a drop of 3% compared to the 2019 elections.
The general elections are being conducted in seven phases. The remaining five phases are scheduled for May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June . Vote counting will take place on June 4.
The opposition parties including the Congress, the CPI(M) and the TMC, have questioned the Election Commission of India (ECI) delay in publishing the final voter turnout numbers of the first two phases of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

What’s the big fuss? You could go on VTA and still can give to VTA and manually add exact number of voters. You could do that about percentages as well.
The mistake of ECI is that it took the pain of collating all data and put a collective percentage up? Or that it didn’t take the pain of adding all votes and give a collective number? You could yourself do that within 48 hours, and can still do that rather than making an issue why ECI is late or hasn’t given the number.
These people are the same people who within 24 hours of disclosure of electoral bonds were able to match anonymous donors to each party they donated to 😂
