    Thanks, very helpful. I’m considering an eccentric chuck, I thought this was the best way to go, but as you say - expensive and confusing. You’ve cleared up a lot and helped enormously with your video.

    Thank you George. I am really interested in the number 3 with the ball adapter. But i called the USA dealer here a woman there told me she thinks the vicmarc #3 is too big for my Rikon 10x22 lathe. That was disappointing, but i soon realized the weight and torque with a good sized hunk of wood on it would probably flip it on it's side. Thanks for taking the time to post this video. it educated me about it. I like your opinions and the pieces you showed at the end. I used to do offset by moving the head stock end of the piece. That's a bit sketchy, i was hoping for a more secure way to do it on my small lathe. Please post more video as you go and learn more. It would be interesting to see what wild piece you do next.
