Now that is the kind of set, costuming and scene design that is suitable for all the great contributing artists, from Shakespeare to Verdi to the Great Domingo. Evocative, engaging, innovative, period appropriate and speaks well of the designer Hugo de Ana, which deepens and celebrates the performance. The China Opera House takes its job seriously, which is becoming less and less true these days in certain venues, esp with so many regie-vandals being given actual budgets that they then blow on their self-serving egos instead of putting on stage and in the music, where it's supposed to be. That rousing applause Domingo gets when he finishes is exactly what he deserves and made me smile. Mil gracias.

No!!!!!!!!! Come on!!!! Why doesn't someone in the opera world stop this? Domingo has made a mockery of the opera world by singing baritone roles. HE IS NOT A BARITONE!!!!!
