Thank you! As a 12yrs old Greek boy, I spent 4 months in this wonderful city in the 80s. I am coming back in April, for two days. Like a pilgrimage, I say.

Your country Portugal which I do not care for, brought nothing but darkness on Japan by the Roman Catholic Missionaries of the Evil Jesuit FRANCIS XAVIER who I seriously hate the most! Your country wanted Japan centuries ago to take over the land of Japan like Goa, Macau and Brazil. But I like the Dutch Traders better in Japan, the Portuguese Traders were the Bad Guys just to buy Japanese Catholic Slaves to sell them overseas in the 16th century, your country Portugal is not what I am interested in for Nagasaki but only the Netherlands of Nagasaki. So there you have it.

This was truly an amazing way to explore Nagasaki by you. I haven't experienced such an intellectual thing about a place in a normal video. You have created a different mindset amongst others who still have a question on atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki. Last part was really amazing where you showed your family, specially your daughter, who is really cute. Hope you are still living happily in Nagasaki.

This is a great video, thank you. I have been to Nakasaki back in 1982 and, as I have friends in Kumamoto Ken, I am thinking to take my family to Nagasaki as part of a Kyushu tour. Your video has convinced me that Nagasaki is definitely a lovely city to include in that tour. Once again, thank you so very much.

Roman Catholicism on 16th century and 17th century Japanese soil was all BULLSHIT‼️ Jesuits tried to force convert half of the Japanese population by destroying Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines which was a serious threat to Japan. The man who introduced Christianity to Japan, the evil Francis Xavier is not a Fuckin' Saint and he is Jesuit Murderer on innocent lives of Goa, India known as the Goa Inquisition that killed Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Buddhist and non-Catholic Christians to their tragic deaths! DOWN WITH FRANCIS XAVIER‼️

    Here's the thing :
The Japanese language has more than 400 Portuguese words... Still today the inhabitants of Nagasaki celebrate the Portuguese EVERY YEAR by dressing in Portuguese 16th century costumes and parading the city in mock Portuguese sailing ships... and the city of Nagasaki is populated with hundreds of delicatessen shops selling Portuguese food and Portuguee desserts and sweets. Ask any Japanese from Nagasaki what a Patel De Nata is and we'll tell what it is. Ask a Japanese from Nagasaki what a Dutch Tortilla and he'll frown and laugh at you, LMFAO... Well done Portugal

Actually there are 6000 words in the Japonese language that came from the portuguese :) You are right about all the rest. Portugal is cherished in all Japan as wel . Wath this, you will like it :) th-cam.com/video/viFhANAc5Og/w-d-xo.html

@Morris Rose, FUCK PORTUGAL! Your country did a lot Bullshit on Japan that was unacceptable because of your Portuguese Colonialism and I am glad that the Tokugawa Shogun kicked you out because both Portugal and Spain were a dangerous threat to Japan and the Dutch were only permitted to stay and trade with Japan. Portuguese and Spanish influences is nothing but Shit!

The Japanese government restricted trading only to Holland and china at that time.
Holland had no intentions to the convert the Japanese to Christianity.
Holland had a great influence to the independence of USA. If you know or not.
    Thanks for a Dutch .

-- Thank you but which of the two, The Netherlands or Portugal had the biggest influence on Nagasaki ? -- I know that the Japanese language has over 400 Portuguese words in heir vocabulary and the word 'Arigato' came from the Portuguese 'Obrigado' for 'thank you. Interesting History. I would love to visit Japan one day.

      I'm Portuguese and I can confirm it's a myth.
Obrigado is very similar to Arigato but it was a coincidence. On the other hand you're right that there are other hundreds of Portuguese words in the Japanese vocabulary. I can't remember all of them but 2 examples are Tempura and Rozario that came from the Portuguese words Tempero and Rosário.

Roman Catholicism that brought nothing good but serious threats towards Japanese society of the 16th and 17th century of Japan. The Jesuits caused serious damage on Japan's cultural civilization and I hate Jesuits especially Francis Xavier who is responsible for the Goa Inquisition in India where countless Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Buddhist and Christians who were victims of their execution.
