A very humble aproach from a man with a heart of gratitude. He never forget the help he got from Wenger, his first european coach. President George Weah will
do well for his beloved people. God help him.

The natural resources of Liberia alone can build Liberia 100 times over if only we had leaders who aren't afraid of the west and the same can be said for all African nations. But the western powers know that would be detrimental to their survival.Africans need to learn to work with eachother, no body else is our friend, trust me...

I respect Weah and all that he's accomplished. And I understand he has to ask for help... But France? Does he understand how France has behaved in Africa? Plus he's saying " he's a product of France"? How can we emancipate from neo colonialism when we go to these countries like their subjects... Not a good image.

Dennis Elly educate your people about France. France is one the worst imperialist country on earth to deal with. Weah is going to fuck Liberia up by dealing with France. Liberians don't let France come in Liberia otherwise you guys will regret it.

    • @denniselly7867

Alvin David- Jacques Chirac said "without Africa France will slide down into the rank of a 3rd word power". So what does that mean to u? Who's helping who in this relationship? France has maintained its status as a first word power while African countries that Chirac said France depends on are still languishing in the 3rd world status, poor! Africa's resources built and are sustaining those European economies. We're the donors without realizing it. We need to wake up!! We can no longer celebrate leaders who take pride in going to Europe and talking a slave's language. You asked where and whom will I ask for help? What's Weah asking for? Improve agriculture, technical education for the youth, among other things. The Chinese are good at agriculture, Israel has done well in agriculture, many more countries are known for that. And if money is a problem, then ask for some loans. France is not going to help Liberia, it's just going to help itself survive.

Thank you to both presidents. My wish is for both presidents to make health infrastructure a priority because without a healthy population there will be no use for sports infrastructure. I know sports can help in hence good health but revisiting the Ebola era, there is the need for health infrastructure first.

dinhos2000 @ my bad. I'm so sorry I was trying to respond to a so-called: "Dragon Francais". Anyway, tell your president to stay away from France. France is trying to destabilize Ghana right now because President Nana-Akufo-Addo is taking strong decisions against their implications in Africa and to let you know Ghana just refused a IMF and the world Bank aid.

Does this Weah guy really knows what the hell he is doing? I hope so, after living in Liberia for a while they tend to be too over dependent on the West for everything. I use to be paid as a teacher by the American government. I hope he learns quick otherwise he will be laughable.

Under the circumstances Weah has to do what he has to do but boy it’s tough watching the guy go on a begging tour. I just hope when he does get the help that Liberia so desperately needs he don’t allowed his ministers and people in power to mismanaged and corrupts the resources for development of the country.

Honestly, I grew up watching my footballing hero Weah, and I am proud for it, however when it comes to politics, I must say sorry bro. Politically, how one can explain your son, the son of a president playing for another national team? Regardless where he was born, in commander in chief's home there shouldn't be shared patriotism. Again, having people like Mbappe there is another same on Africa, why did he not choose to play for the Cameroon? No, Africans, it is time to do things right and differently.

Altruistic, u saying Since Weah is a citizen of France then he's doing the right thing by going back to them for help... He became a citizen of France not because he loved France but out of necessity. Ok there's nothing wrong asking for help, but the manner in which u ask says a lot. A new generation of African leaders are expected to know better than predecessors. He speaks like a subject of the French. If u study the history of Africa since independence to this day, France treats her former colonies as her subject, kids like. The French overthrow more governments in Africa, exploited the continent so much that u wonder why are former French colonies still associating themselves with France. Francophone countries still pay colonial taxes to France today. Their currencies are not even controlled in their own banks, France controls them. I expected Weah to understand these things. He goes to France and submit, saying without France he was nothing? And that's a leader of one of the oldest republics in Africa? Submitting to France? No, I am disappointed.

michael b probably through freemasonic. France is trying to destabilize Ghana right now because President Nana Akufo-Addo is taking strong decisions against their implications in Africa and he just refused foreign aid from the IMF and the World Bank. Nana Akufo-Addo is having the same speech that Thomas Sankara from Burkina Faso, Sylvanus Olympio from Togo, Sekou Toure from Guinea which get them assassinated.
