Okay, I know some people are going to come for me....BUT, here it is. Our HONEST, and very controversial, dinner review from Ohana at the Polynesian resort at Disney World.
I have heard people RAVE about the meal here for YEARS. I was so excited to finally try the cuisine. It did not go as well as I had planned :(

My husband enjoyed it but I was a little disappointed. He said chicken & potstickers were his favs & I agree with you that the potstickers are dry & need a dipping sauce or some type of drizzle on top. The noodles are so hyped & I was disappointed. Shrimp was BLAND. Salad, bread & butter & dessert are definitely in my opinion stars of the show.
Agree. Salad was great, but I feel like it was brought to the table, then taken away so quickly😅 Shrimp was definitely too bland for this Louisiana girl😔 That dessert was phenomenal though and so was the bread.
We'll be doing Liberty Tree Tavern next time👋

I am from Louisiana. The Character Breakfast if they still have it is a lot of fun there (I met Goofy, the coolest dude ever) and the Luau if they still have it is awesome.
They haven't brought back to Luau yet. Might try the character breakfast on our next family trip. Breakfast is always a huge hit with my picky eater ☺
Luau is not coming back. They tore out the stage for more DVC
Thank you so much for this review! This used to be the “Must Do” restaurant back in the day but ohhh how far things have fallen. It used to be Texas De Brazil style but it appears they went the cheap route & nixed that aspect of the restaurant. Definitely removing this reservation from my trip! Thanks for saving my family $$$
Do Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. Or Hollywood Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios. MUCH better food🤤
Totally agree we went and was really disappointed. Soured server wasn’t a great start. Salad was good, meat overcooked and chewy and the noodle was ok nothing special. Dessert was the best! Not worth the money and wouldn’t recommend it and definitely wouldn’t go again!

So disappointed I cancelled my reservation for breakfast there which we had booked! Two days later my teenagers were in the park and my husband and I were having dinner at the Victoria and Albert’s and that was worth the hype and money, we come from London UK and being in a major city u fortunately we are used to having to spend out for expensive food but Ohana’s was a joke apart from dessert the rest no better then an regular fast food mall. #sorrynotsorry!
This has long been on my "top of Next Trip" list, but something always happens. But, I've heard it is nowhere near as good as it used to be, as is sadly the case for SO much at WDW. It's why I keep putting off going. Also to take away the things that made it so special, while jacking up the pricing constantly, from food to hotels etc and, well everything, and since Covid I have not seriously considered a trip back.
My #1 complaint is Genie Plus. Having my nose stuck in my phone all day, not to mention getting up at dawn to book an aft time is my idea of an ANTI-vacation!!! Esp at WDW, where I want to immerse myself in what is left of the magic vs nose in phone. Just NO Disney....NO. Sadly they don't seem to care lately.

one and done for me. I know people like it and it was hard to get in but....bread, salad and dessert were good. otherwise many things didn't have much taste. CMs were good
This. I'm a FOODIE....very disappointed. CM were good, but it was EXTREMELY rushed.
