Honostly should be the key great league mons as there is almost always a GL or GL gimmick cup during master league stretches. Azu/sableye/stunfisk/venu etc. next I would focus on building to ultra league once you have a comfortable selection for GL, if you want cheap think along the lines of shadow machamp/giratina/gyarados/swampert etc. if you have the resources max stunfisk/umbreon/ninetails a/talonflame/jelly/ mandibuzz. Master league start with dialga and work from there, the primals and gira O are a great branch off, then zacian/melmetal and now zarude. Good luck trainers! See ya at legend!
Some of these are very hard to max out and take alot of time, machamp is hell of alot easier to get candy's for + the free evolve from trading should make the list as the difference in stats is next to nothing
I agree with most of the list and stat wise it makes perfect sense but availability wise ehhh not so much. Machamp is slightly weaker than conkeldor but the availability makes it a way better option and probably available to max much sooner. Legendaries cant be helped but again. Its maybe a underdog, but a Whiscash with mud bomb/shot is a absolute beast in the 1500 cup. You can basically "spam" attacks because of how fast its attack generates, I usually use that as my starter with a Registeel (as my tank) and a Charizard with the legacy move.

Why do people always talk about "perfect IV" mons like they are a dime a dozen? I've had my account since 2016, yes have only played casually but have been playing at least once a week, I have TWO perfect IV mons in the thousands I've caught, and neither of them are what I would like to have
Been almost two years now since playing and never captured a perfect IV pokemon except one.. and the one perfect IV pokemon I have is a Dialga which I was fortunate to get in a raid 4 months ago.
I use a maxed out Talonflame in Ultra League and he is like my secret weapon. 😆 I tend to save him for last and keep all my shields for him. This strategy has scored quite a few victories. Haha.
I'm exactly the same . Took awhile to get him maxed out but what a beast . There is no better feeling for me than brave birding a unshielded swampert 🤣
I would put Melmetal as number one to max out. It's a great pokon in the pvp, gyms defending and gyms fighting as well as raids and against team rocket.
I agree with Lucario. As soon as I hatched my first Riolu, I dropped everything and put my resources into him. But the only thing I’d that since he is only obtained through an egg (Riolu), then getting XL candy will be tough. Plus, mine is a 3* with Aura Sphere and Flash Cannon. Very solid
@@CountJinsulaOfficial oh yeah for sure! I did BF him up and got him to 40, so I’m very close to 40 and will eventually get him up. Can anyone explain why it's better if a mega stays longer in combat? I've heard of examples of a mega doing A LOT more damage but it's preferred to get a tanky mega so it stays longer in combat. Can someone explain please
A mega enhances the attack of other raiders with same type Pokemon. So if it stays longer if not only does more damage but enhances o0thers attack stats if the same type.

Maybe not in the top 10 but I would say that my lvl 50 Pidgeot was an awesome investment. It has had amazing results in the ultra league, is a pretty beefy gym defender and has an extra cheap and really solid mega evolution. A good all arounder. Mine is shiny and 15/15/9 with best buddy boost still able to compete in ultra.
my mewtwo was my first hundo i ever got, and my first lvl 40 pokemon. this was before i knew it was the top attacker in the pokemon universe. i got lucky there.
So I have question, how are you suppose to max exactly? For example I have a 582 larvitar, should I power it up all the way then evolve it to pupitar and do it again or do I just evolve it twice right away from the 582 and power up the tyranitar all the way? Does it make a difference on how high the cp can be??
My tactic is to powerup till 1500 or 2500 so you can let him be your buddy, earn hearts, walk for candy (and battle against the trainers), and getting best buddies. Once that's achieved I evolve further...
I have a 96 IV Mewtwo that I’m terrified to totally max out bc I feel like right when I’ve dumped all my xl candy and stardust into it I’m gonna get a hundo
machamp is a better pick than conkeldurr. it is not raid locked, it has bait moves for pvp, better and more coverage moves for pvp. machop nests so resources (candy) are much easier to obtain and can obtain machop in mass to earn xl far easier. conkeldurr is far more effort for little to no benefit
Maxing out a pokemon to Level 50 is a waste of time and money, so do not do it....a level 40 pokemon and level 50 pokemon last the same and do the same damage. I have maxed out 7 of my hundos but I regret it...Niantic needs to do something to fix this issue, it s not fair when a level 35 Mewtwo can out perform a level 50 100 percent Mewtwo.
i think abomasnow is way better tha talonflme. very useful in ultra league, and its mega is very useful against many tier 5 raid bosses. and the weather ball spam is so good in both raid and pvp
Im a new player im only lvl 27, and Mewtoo seems unattainable, can you even encountee the damn thing? And aquiring a 100% IV one on top of that, also in raids its very few bosses its super effective against, im not a pro but im wouldnt really put it at a top 10 first pokemon to max out seeing that quite many other pokemon would be usefull in more situations than mewtoo.
@@TH-camSucksEggs well then its not a good pokemon for your top 10 first ever Pokémon to power up. Im just gonna hold a space for a unnattainable no1 when i could potientially power up something that i can actyally obtain and use. How much damage it makes is of little interest to me when i cant get one anyway. And when i can the likelyness getting one with ivs better than 90% is like 1/100 catches according to my playing experience so far. Wich likely not gonna happen the next time it gets available nor the time after that..

Honestly I complex forgot about new two getting a mega, me and a friend are lvl 50 and traded shiny mewtwoes for a lucky trade, now I have a full iv lvl 50 shiny mewtwo, can’t wait for the mega! 😊
I could use some advice. I have 2 100% Level 34,5 Mewtwo WITHOUT Psystrike and a 93% Level 40 Mewtwo WITH Psystrike. Which one should I max out? One of my 100% and use an Elite-Charge-TM Or just go with the 93% and save the Elite-Charge-TM?
@@CountJinsulaOfficial Against Terrakion Lv 40 M2 with Psystrike has better time to win than Lv 50 M2 with Psychic, so I'd definitely give a hundo M2 Psystrike, especially because he has mega in the future.
I would not max a 12.12.12 metagross. Thats not that high of an IV. That is the reason I dont even have a metagross yet. I dont have one to evolve that is good enough IV even though I have the candy to evolve to Metagross.

The difference is miniscule between a 91+ and a 100. Functionally, there is no difference. Its more about mitigating regret. Maxing out a Pokémon takes a ridiculous amount of resources, and if you max out a 91% now, later you might get a hundo and would have to spend those resources again.

Meanwhile I’m over here maxing out my shiny hundo explorer Pikachu
Some of these are very hard to max out and take alot of time, machamp is hell of alot easier to get candy's for + the free evolve from trading should make the list as the difference in stats is next to nothing
I agree with most of the list and stat wise it makes perfect sense but availability wise ehhh not so much. Machamp is slightly weaker than conkeldor but the availability makes it a way better option and probably available to max much sooner. Legendaries cant be helped but again. I think there are other pokemon that could fill the role well before even racking up the resources for most of the choices on this list
Two words: shadow variant.
Aggree best two pokemon i have (lvl 35) is two machamps. I use them every single day. Very solid pokemon for sure. Atleast for newer players.
@@jaustill237 Yeah were do you suggest we get a shadow machamp?

Its maybe a underdog, but a Whiscash with mud bomb/shot is a absolute beast in the 1500 cup. You can basically "spam" attacks because of how fast its attack generates, I usually use that as my starter with a Registeel (as my tank) and a Charizard with the legacy move.
My top 15 non legendary, non shadow pokemon to power up (In no particular order): Charizard, Garchomp, Metagross, Rhyperior, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Rampardos, Togekiss, Machamp, Venusaur, Scizor, Gengar, Swampert, Lucario, Chandelure. Most of them are fairly common spawns during some point of the year. You can lucky trade them to save on stardust. And you can hit a lot of stuff with those.
Only one I'm really confused about from that is Scizor because I only ever use mine in ultra league
@@jonathanmiller4759 It's a good bug attacker. While bug doesn't come up much... it's useful against dark, psychic, (and grass but that's less useful). It has 9 resistances including double resistance to grass and poison. And it will eventually get a mega evolution. It's niche useful now with potential in the future.
I start to cry everytime i hear someone mention Mewtwo. I played almost daily for 5-6months now and i havent seen as much as a trace of any mewtwo, is it a unobtainable mythical legendary pokemon of the past or what?
Dialga is the best dragon as the steal typing does give the ability to beat other dragons and can also take fairy types down with Iron Head
1. Gyrados
2.Melmetal
3.Garchomp
4.Gengar
5.Apex Shadow Ho-Oh
6.Dialga
7.Shadow Tyranitar/Tyranitar(preferably shadow, although having a normal ome maxes out would be great for when mega Ttar comes out)
8.Shadow Metagross/Metagross(Having one shadow and one regular maxed out would be ideal.)
9.Shadow Salamence/Salamence(Having one shadow and one regular maxed would he ideal.)
10.Shadow Mewtwo&Normal Mewtwo
Any shadow psudeo legendary and if they have an unreleassed mega then it would be ideal to have one shadow with good ivs ans one regular with good ivs to have ready for mega.
@@TP_TheOneWhoDreamsI've been playing for 2 years and have 34
I use a maxed out Talonflame in Ultra League and he is like my secret weapon. 😆 I tend to save him for last and keep all my shields for him. This strategy has scored quite a few victories. Haha.
I'm exactly the same . Took awhile to get him maxed out but what a beast . There is no better feeling for me than brave birding a unshielded swampert 🤣
Now the world knows 💀 jk
I would put Melmetal as number one to max out. It's a great pokon in the pvp, gyms defending and gyms fighting as well as raids and against team rocket.
Not really raids
Your right he is great to have in gyms and battle with
And easy to farm xl candies great spammer a maxxed out one helps for hard rocket battles

I think giratina and dialga also deserve an honorable mention

The most useful to me has been Melmetal.
Am I crazy or do you and LevelCapGaming sound incredibly similar? The cadence, the timbre, it's all there
Thank you! Useful reference.
Very solid
Very nice 👍 Yes Lucario is tough for XL candy. But if you walk it everyday and feed it rare candies, it will be worth it.
@@CountJinsulaOfficial oh yeah for sure! I did BF him up and got him to 40, so I’m very close to 40 and will eventually get him up. I also will apply the same thing to my 4* Metagross and Gyarados (my current partner) and I also want to buddy up my Lucky Shiny Mewtwo (mirror trade with my accounts).
If you walk with a pokemon who is level 35 or higher there is a high chance that you will receive an xl candy and a regular candy while walking with him. I'm currently doing this for my shieldon cause i want xl candy for the great league. I learned this on Reddit.
I use power up punch and shadow ball
bro I got riolu 2stars 13/11/12 should i just trade or transfer
It would have been cool if you had mentioned which Pokémon these evolve from. As a noob I would have found that information very useful.
Maybe you've already found the info, you can look it up in the Pokedex info in the Pokemon menu, but anyways...
10. Gengar 0:55
Currently have a 4* Gengar, and machamp. Both are nearly maxed out but I need to best buddy them first before I invest the stardust.
For Gengar I hope you have an elite fast TM to teach Lick. Gengar with Lick shadow ball move set is #1 in ghost attacking.

Wait. In December they have a recap CD and all pokemon who had a CD can learn their legacy move.
Tyranitar will be worth it when it gets its mega
Zacian is really strong right now in the Master league as well and can learn a fairy, fighting and electric move :)
hmmm, i'm almost to the end of the buddy system for my magikarp it's 3 star purified and i think shiny but could be wrong, but i still need another 103 candy to evolve it, gonna be so hyped when i get enough XD
I run Umbreon and just catch charge moves while using up the opponents shields at the beginning of the game
I already have
Umbreon Rank Hundo maxed
Talonflame Hundo Maxed
Medicham rank 1 @50 maxed
Jellicent Rank 10 almost maxed
Then imma work on Galarain Stunfisk Hundo waiting on maxing my Hundo Gengar until after PvP mons and absolutely no plans for my Hundo Metagross because of ML Classic.

Talonflame is not a hard counter to Machamp in pvp. One rock slide and its lights out Talonflame.
Brave bird or hurricane will KO machamp
@@gerardomata5042 Yes but machamp gets to rock slide before talon gets to brave bird or hurricane. So in even energy machamp wins.
@@Aquilius25 to me it seems talon charges faster thats just with the naked eye tho
@@gerardomata5042 It takes talonflame 15 turns to get to a brave bird. It takes machamp 14 turns to get to a rock slide.
Talonflame needs an energy or shield advantage to beat machamp. It's in no way a hard counter. Hard counters win even at a disadvantage.
Great video!
Thank you!
Shadow Machamp trivializes Conkeldurr regardless of IVs. Until Shadow Conkeldurr comes out at least.
Can anyone explain why it's better if a mega stays longer in combat? I've heard of examples of a mega doing A LOT more damage but it's preferred to get a tanky mega so it stays longer in combat. Can someone explain please
A mega enhances the attack of other raiders with same type Pokemon. So if it stays longer if not only does more damage but enhances o0thers attack stats if the same type.
great vid, i recently restarted playing P.Go again and i was in need of what to focus on though i i dont have any perfect iv yet the best one i have is a 98% executor :)

Maybe not in the top 10 but I would say that my lvl 50 Pidgeot was an awesome investment. It has had amazing results in the ultra league, is a pretty beefy gym defender and has an extra cheap and really solid mega evolution. A good all arounder. Mine is shiny and 15/15/9 with best buddy boost still able to compete in ultra.
my mewtwo was my first hundo i ever got, and my first lvl 40 pokemon. this was before i knew it was the top attacker in the pokemon universe. i got lucky there.
mate you dont need 100%
Maxing up my shadow Snorlax, Togekiss and Garchomp
Everything is trivial with this guy
So I have question, how are you suppose to max exactly? For example I have a 582 larvitar, should I power it up all the way then evolve it to pupitar and do it again or do I just evolve it twice right away from the 582 and power up the tyranitar all the way? Does it make a difference on how high the cp can be??
My tactic is to powerup till 1500 or 2500 so you can let him be your buddy, earn hearts, walk for candy (and battle against the trainers), and getting best buddies. Once that's achieved I evolve further...
Top ten pokemon that max up for me
1.Mewtwo
2.Dialga
3.Melmetal
4.Giratina

7.Metagross
8.Togekiss
9.Groudon
10.Lucario

I have a 96 IV Mewtwo that I’m terrified to totally max out bc I feel like right when I’ve dumped all my xl candy and stardust into it I’m gonna get a hundo
Might be worth getting to level 40. But yeah I'd save the XL candy for a better one.
machamp is a better pick than conkeldurr. it is not raid locked, it has bait moves for pvp, better and more coverage moves for pvp. machop nests so resources (candy) are much easier to obtain and can obtain machop in mass to earn xl far easier. conkeldurr is far more effort for little to no benefit
Will we be able to mega evolve shadow mewtwo ?
I like this video!!!
Ive catched a evee evolved (Jolteon) shoud i max it out?
i think abomasnow is way better tha talonflme. very useful in ultra league, and its mega is very useful against many tier 5 raid bosses. and the weather ball spam is so good in both raid and pvp

The difference is miniscule between a 91+ and a 100. Functionally, there is no difference. Its more about mitigating regret. Maxing out a Pokémon takes a ridiculous amount of resources, and if you max out a 91% now, later you might get a hundo and would have to spend those resources again.
