    TALET “LIVE FULLY NOW”
My goodness, don’t you remember when you went first to school?
You went to kindergarten. And in kindergarten, the idea was to push along so that you could get into first grade. And then push along so that you could get into second grade, third grade and so on,
    Going up and up.
And then you went to high school and this was a great transition in life.
And now the pressure is being put on, you must get ahead, you must go up the grades, and finally be good enough to get to college.
And then when you get to college, you’re still going step-by-step, up to the great moment in which you’re ready to go out into the world.
And then when you get out into this famous world comes the struggle for success in profession or business.
And then, suddenly, when you are about forty or forty-five years old in the middle life, you wake up one day and say… Huh? I’ve arrived.
And while as I said it is of tremendous use for us to be able look ahead and to plan, there is no use planning for a future, which when you get to it and it becomes a present, you won’t be there.
You’ll be living in some other future which hasn’t yet arrived. And so in this way one is never able actually to inherit and enjoy the fruits of one’s actions.
    You can’t live at all,
    unless you can live fully,
    now.

Thank you for this fantastic video!!! And thank you Mark, imagine not having all of your tapes of your fathers lectures, laughter, and wonderful wisdom. My sister lived on one of the houseboat’s in Sausalito from 1971-74 right after high school. My granddaughter Alana was born on Alan Watts 95th birthday, a year before I discovered the treasure trove of Alan Watts. She was going to be called Leilani, but that named had been previously owned. I can’t imagine my life without Alan being part of daily, thank you so much. I missed a lecture you were giving in Big Sur years ago where your father use to give lectures, my craft-show was too far away. Best to you, and yours. I think this thought often, thank you for the music of your fathers words, and life!!

Mark, my name is mark also. I can’t thank you enough for keeping your father’s tapes. Your father helped me understand what I was experiencing and I don’t think I could have done it without your hard work of getting this all out there. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

Marin County is so beautiful in Winter (or any time of year really). So is Sweden, I'm sure. Alan Watts' concepts/ philosophy were in some ways simple, and yet so deep and profound. I feel like even if and when we are living life to the fullest, to our maximum potential, our senses are quite limited, and our ability to process all available information we CAN sense, is also. We can't fully realize or experience what there is to be realized in that moment in time, space, and place. All we can do, is try to open up our senses, and cognition, and recognition, and mental processing to become as close as we can to our natural selves. Alan Watts was an amazing human being.

I have not. I have only heard a few. His talks are sometimes difficult to understand, and I don't agree with all of it. It sometimes seems like profound gibberish to make money. So I want to call attention to both sides, positive affirmation of his work, and critical thought.

I don’t know but seeing mark standing in his fathers house and telling about how you should get out of your mind to get to your senses made me tear up

So did I. Perhaps because up to that point I hadn't seen Alan in his son. When he laughed so genuinely and looked at the camera with that joyful intensity I saw Alan Watts coming through. What a blessing being the son of one the greatest minds of all time.

His father did a talk on the illusion of money and it’s value. I’m sure if his father had lived he’d have much to say about the commercialization of his teachings and lectures for profit. Everything he seemed to not believe in.

I wonder how does it come, there is no movie about Alan Watts or a slideshow of family - or every day life photos.
Joking and posing or caught in a staring or thinking moment.
*COME ON* and let us in .•°
Far Rider - the one who refuses to look inside ( because he always sensed that his 'you' is to be seen in front of him )
    *SO THEN* .•°

Your father's work and talks should be shared by all humanity. The fact that you threatened to sue Lorenzo is Sad. He has nothing but good intentions and is making no money off your father just spreading his work. Please reconsider your decision and free all his work to the world. Ask yourself what would your father want? He changed my life and I probably would have never paid for the content. I stumbled upon Lorenzo and I can tell you I'm better for it!

      Who is Lorenzo?

    • @serahbeaner9498
      @serahbeaner9498 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Collective Consciousness quite frankly he’s the one who recorded his fathers work and followed him around so it’s his content to share. I would sue the living fuck out of someone if they took my fathers work that I recorded. It’s not his to share.

Please don't copyright all your dads stuff. If his stuff wasn't easily available many wouldn't know about him. I'm poverty sticken. 😪 I'm sure you can figure out a way to make money off of his legacy without hurting innocent people.
