    The best awning I've ever seen also happens to be the most expensive awning I've ever seen. But you know what, I think it's worth it.

    Only if I knew about this awning before purchasing the dune 270. This is awesome and handy.

    This looks to be exactly what I want, except it needs zippers for the walls. I've found my current awning gets a lot of tension on the walls in stormy conditions, zips plus velcro are the standard from what I've seen, not just velcro alone.
    Unless you're somehow confindent that the velcro walls can take gusty wind, as we use the walls as wind breaks mainly.
    I can sew zippers in myself, but at the price point this awning is, I think you could add zippers plus velcro.

      Besides, velcro is useless in the rain when wet..... I agree with the zippers.

      Look it is a security future, before your awning breaks the sidewalls fall off. Maybe it’s not so bad

    I bought a howling moon 270 swing awning and have nothing but problems with it. With hindsight I wish I had bought this one.

    Hi Bush Company,
    How about doing a install video attaching the awning to the Alpha tent, at $2500 I would like to see how its installed.

    Don't care how strong it is, I would still like built-in poles on this. I also prefer zipped side walls, rather than velcro. But it is a magnificent awning.

      Hi John, the trussed arms all have holes in the ends to receive a standard telescopic pole. We supply poles with the wall kits. Poles are not required unless alls are fitted. Cheers

    Just an idea. I wonder if it's possible to mount one on driver and one on the passenger side to get an almost 360 degree awning? That would be a fun video to watch.

      @potentpossum1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Ray Johnson yeah but why design a bulkier and more expensive awning to do that when you can put up a windscreen shade for cheaper and more lightweight.

    Hi mate Have you thought of incorporating solar blankets into your awnings. Awesome awning and charging battery at same time

      the wire grid would fail on cells that get rolled like this. they won't fail right away but the will fail well before the MTBF rating. And really, if you have a awning, you have a roof rack and or RTT to which you can put fixed "solid" panels which have a higher efficiency and smaller footprint than flexible cells.
      A future idea for sure but todays tech wouldn't hold up long term let along as long as this awning will last

    Needs zippers for walls, Velcro dose not last over years . where’s out to sone . Would buy it if it had zipper walls . Rest is awesome . From Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A.

    You mention the optional walls, but I can't find them anywhere on your site (not the USA anyway). Do you still make the walls?

    I’m currently running a 23 zero falcon and the thing that bugs me is the poles and also the rear arm doesn’t sit parallel with my roof tent. I access the tent from the rear ladder mounted to the canopy and I don’t want to have to climb over the awning arm. Does the rear arm sit completely parallel with the rear of the canopy or is it at a slight angle?

    Can you use this without the roof top tent - ioe Just mount to Roof rack or do you need the Roof Top tent to hold it down?

    I am picking up a Super Pacific USA (2018 Tundra CrewCab) in Portland end of December. I see you have a distributor in Grants Pass OR. Will this work well with the Super Pacific USA? And if so which brackets do I need?

      You can have Micah from Overlandunderbudget take a look at this awning. He makes very similar ones and I'm pretty sure he could add the front arms to his design with no problems.

    No you haven't been listening to what the customer wants. I bet a good gust of wind and the walls will come away from the velcro at least with zips that wont happen.

  • @1964wingman
    @1964wingman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    What a shame you are still using velcro to attach the walls and not zippers.

    • @johnpm1605
      @johnpm1605 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd say from my experience that velcro is stronger than zips and if it does fail it's easier for the owner to replace... if a zip fails it's often impossible to replace cheaply...

      Just add a good snap at either end and the center of each wall. With the velcro its bullet proof.
