Boot-cut jeans, cashmere sweaters, blazers. I just moved to Europe and also noticed that few women are wearing skinny jeans. However, men in the Netherlands wear tight jeans, stove pipe trousers and shrunken jackets. I will still wear skinny jeans and long cardigans this winter- I don't care if that look is not in style. It's the only way to survive winter in the freezing wet Netherlands.

While in Italy in September it was still very warm but lots of women were wearing Birkenstock’s and Veja sneakers. Also, women over 20 don’t wear shorts. Everyone was in dresses, capris or jeans.
Real ladylike blouses have been in very short supply for several years- so happy to see them making a comeback!

I love the wide leg jeans! But the weather has turned hard early here in Toronto. It's snowed hard once and snow is in the forecast so I will bust the wider leg jeans back out when there's no snow and I can wear a regular bootie. Thick snow boots + wide leg jeans + puffer coat just isn't going to work, so I go to the video about how to look slimmer in winter, and in all those looks it's skinny jeans. Plus cold wind doesn't blow up the leg in skinnies. I just love that blazer!
Straight leg jeans. Been wearing them for the last 40 years and they have never really gone out of style, they fade to the back and then rise to the top every so often in the sea of style, and I don't have to spend a lot of money to look "current" when they are on the upswing. I just go to the closet and dig them out lol
I used to work on high heels. Loved every minute of it. Even wore the wooden cute clogs.

So every time I go over there, I like the clothes I see but don’t see the same styles in the US for about a year or so. We’re sort of late to the game trend wise. So now I subscribe to my favorite euro brands and see current and practical trends in real time.
There is a big difference in what is popular between the US and Europe.

I so agree! I remember seeing platform sandals in Italy about 1 year before they started showing up in the USA. And Europe is fortunately not willing to embrace the super sloppy Look that USA has. Europeans literally spot American tourists by their sloppy appearance 😬

Love the European fashion trends! I agree that heels are killer on your feet for walking distances and it destroys your beautiful shoes! Love the color and style of your sneakers! Walking is such perfect exercise.

I am absolutely loving my mom jeans, baggy jeans, straight jeans, flare jeans, anything but skinny jeans!! I have an hourglass figure with fuller hips so I think the wider leg pants flatter me more. I love wearing them with bodysuits and tucked in tops. I personally was never that crazy about skinny jeans. They don’t look very flattering on most women.

I started wearing relaxed fit jeans etc, last year and I love them! I’m turning 47 this month and I think the biggest fashion problem with older women or even women in their 30’s, is the inability to be flexible in their style. Especially in the jeans department. I think The key to keep from looking “ old fashioned” is to update the jeans and shoes. Update your jeans silhouette ladies, it’s amazing!

I have a few pairs of relaxed jeans. However, they look terrible tucked into boots. Therefore, I still wear skinny jeans half of the time.

My go-to outfit for everyday errands has been my 501 vintage Levi's with a chunky sweater or cardigan, paired with my white Stan Smith Adidas. I reach for them all the time.

My heavy hitter has been a pair of wide leg AG jean. I love how comfortable they are from the material to the looser leg, I’m with ya on these type of jeans!

I love the jumpsuit. I would totally wear that if it looked good on me, maybe if it has some stretch? 😆 On the subject of jeans, I absolutely love that wide legs, flares and bootcuts are back in. In 2019 I went to Milan which we know is a very fashionable city and I did notice women wore all sorts of jeans. Yes, there were skinnys, but there were also flares and bootcut jeans in almost the same amount. Which lead me to believe that European women wear what suits them regardless of “trends” which I applaud. 👏👏👏
I've been wearing all sorts of jeans for years. Don't care what other people think if I like my unique style and am confident and comfortable in it. But, I do keep up on trends. I just pick the ones that match me.

I love your new Madrid content! I have visited Madrid twice and it’s my most favorite city in Europe. I also like the more modern denim shapes. I am 5 feet and pear shaped so the A-line aesthetic works better for my body type. :-)

This was a great video! When I visited Europe I noticed we are about a year behind in fashion. I am very happy to see looser jeans. I would love to see beautiful trousers come back also. Loving camis layered with cashmere- have a new button down cashmere top that I’m obsessed with,
and considering another color. Wearing Jeans and sneakers or booties every day- feeling so good in higher waisted jeans with looser legs. I had been wearing low and mid rise cuts that proved to be forced and fussy on my mid section and booty...been switching to more updated cuts- noting my measurements since sizes vary - jeans slip right on fit in all the right places and make dressing easy and fun again! ... Erin I’m so grateful for your knowledge and inspiration. 💕

Madrid gets many European Mainland Tourists and those look and dress very similar to locals :D and we loooove our Sneakers because we walk SO much. Relaxed cut mom or boyfriend jeans are IT right now.

I highly recommend the converse runstar hike for walking. They are soooooo comfortable. Incan wear them to walk all day in an amusement park, the city, anywhere and they go w so much
I also have the YSL College and LOVE it. The top handle, back pocket, and inner separated pockets are so useful, and the strap is a great length for me at 5'5

I have been reaching for my Black Lululemon align tights with a long black sweater and long black cardigan, and chunky ankle boots, its been raining lots here in Budapest. So its a good staple for the weather, with a good raincoat
Thanks for the layering a hoodie and leggings with a blazer idea. I’m a therapist in a moderate climate and it’s a fantastic fall go to for me. I usually pair it with white Reeboks or navy Cariuma canvas sneakers.

Hello my Dear 👋 hope you enjoy your life in Spain. I have recently moved to Austin, TX and seriously, I miss my European life. Coming originaly from Czech Republic (btw go to visit Prague if you will have a chance and if Covid situation allow it, as lot of the EU countries are in lockdown right now) and before moving to US I spent some time in Valencia, Spain (definitely recommend go visit Valencia 😀 ) I miss walking, getting everywhere without driving a car. Spending time with outdoor activities, walk to Cafes, eating all those pastries 🍰 😋 omg, I miss that all! Plus felt way more safer back in EU than here in US 😔 Enjoy your stay in Europe!!!🤗

Erin, I love my skinny jeans, but have bought several pair of looser fitting mom jeans and straight leg jeans. Weird at first, but I love them now! They go so well with boots and sneakers, and a cute sweater or cropped jacket. To my fellow skinny jeans lovers, don’t be afraid of the relaxed fit! It’ll give you a new and fresh look! You can still wear the skinnies and mix it up.

Update on my style rutt: I am pain free from my neck issue, I got a great job since I had to stop my business of staging and organizing homes, I am getting facials, nails, losing weight, hiking, and looking forward to dressing up and looking my best for the new adventure coming up next week. My job that I got is a Project Manager at a Architect Firm. I am so excited!!!

NIce video. Thanks. I love the green jumper and the camel blazer & kicks. After ditching my skinny jeans, I converted to high waisted jeans but could not stand how they accentuate my belly. To find mid rise and lower rise jeans, I bought mens Levis boot cut and Ralph Lauren skinnies and they look amazing on me.

I bought some years ago a pair of Lee jeans, but I didn't feel well in these because they were not stretch at all... Last year, I bought American eagle and I have to say that they are the stretchiest jeans!! So comfortable in these.. I have also bought mom fit line. I feel freedom in my moves. 💜💙🧡💛💚

Calvin Klein v-neck, sleeveless long black cotton dress. Dress it up or down, had it for around 10 years I wear it year round (we get snow) Take care, Karen
