Suggestion, use a diamond stone on you wet stone to make sure your sharpening stone is flat. Many sharpening stones have high and low spots. Good video.
What about all the guys with the fancy sharpening wheels that say you have to have the contoured wheel to keep from making your blade flat? They say making the blade flat on a stone ruins it. (Honest question, wanted to sharpen mine without having to buy one of those expensive sharpeners. I could but a lot of blades with that money)
It would be good to do a demo on how a t outlined cuts after sharpening I'm a chef I use this to sharpen my knife but I tried to let my barber try but he told me it doesn't work the same way
As a mobile dog groomer I’m pretty excited! I just got off the phone with a mobile sharpening company and he won’t come into town for less than $200. I asked if I could meet him at the grooming salon and he said no 👀😳
You need an actual sharpening stone. Doesn’t have to be in water but must be soaked before. If you don’t have blade wash use any cleaning solution as long as you remove ALL loose debris. If you use a water based cleaner just make sure it’s completely dry and oil it after.

Good morning Alejandro. Appreciate the video, great content.
If you were to do a blade sharpening service, how much would you charge?
Not sure. Ask someone who does it
Looks like a good technique! So you don’t need that expensive equipment to sharpen those blades?
you don't necessarily need the expensive equipment
you dont add any oil after reassembling?
@@Ozzy3333333 blades should always be oiled

@@alejandrocutshair I have the original oil that came with my unit, but can WD-40, prolong, drying silicon be used or?

You definitely won’t be able to get it as sharp as with using an expensive tool but this will do the trick that’ll make a noticeable difference
Bullshit. Clippers work by the blades making contact with each other. You want it dead flat. These aren't scissors.
Lmao! "Last baby fart."
What about using the 45 degree angle method
@@ki66143 try it
Great tip bro, Good looking out!

@@alejandrocutshair what is the reason of soaking the stone but use
@@kuluferdinand8762 the water helps with the particles that come off the metal. Makes it a cleaner, smooth process
you have to make sure it’s flat and the way the blade naturally lays flat and sharpen that way
Agreed!

Me: 🏃♂️heading to Walmart to get blade stone
Every other video that I’ve seen 150 and 200 grit is there a big difference
As long as you finish it off with a very fine grit you should be fine. Just work your way down
Looks like pink aluminum oxide in the bag.
I just wanna know what's the name of that dish your girl made you? Lol looks yummy 😋
Shrimp cocktail
How do i know which side of the blade i’m sharpening
The side that is flat
So you only use the 400 side
You have to use both
So how often on average do you do this?
It really just depends on how often you’ll need it. Depends on the quality of the material
