A Beast Transformer Beats Up Godzilla (Fan Animation)

I wanted to get back to making fight animations and test out some 3D models, one of which is a transforming robot I modeled back in early 2021 but haven't had the opportunity to use it so far. I also wanted to see if I can make a short animation within a set time limit. Some parts had to be shortened but I managed to complete it under a month, appropriately for the theatrical release of an actual Transformers film.
The fight scene takes up a quarter of the video, but took about half a month to animate. This shows that even simple action scenes with a lot of quick cuts and editing tricks can take a long time to make.
Now that these models have been tested, they can be used for more elaborate and longer fights in later videos.
Some additional voices used in the video were generated with ElevenLabs, because I couldn't think of a better alternative and keeping these sections silent would have been awkward. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน

Man those transformation sequences are so smooth
They're like actual updated versions for how a Beast Wars style transformation should be
I'm curious if it's an actual transformation, in which the base model still has the robot parts inside, or if it is like the series, where it was just simulated.

4 Isn't surprising considering Anguirus hasn't made any onscreen appearances (Minus tv shows) since Final Wars in 2004, before that it was Godzilla vs Megalon from 1974 (Also minus tv shows). Though one could count the cameo of his skeletal remains in Godzilla: Planet of Monsters in 2017.
2 is incorrect, it is voice samples and alterations of Krtek a Czech cartoon/character.

You know, I was partially expecting this to be the gag where Anguirus imagined the whole fight before going after Godzilla, only to get smacked. Still, love the design of 'Angerus' and now I'm curious how other kaiju will look like with cybertronian modes.

Your ability to make Anguirus increasingly unhinged in every video is impressive, and disturbing. Also, that updated Monsterverse Godzilla model is beautiful.
Out of all the ways 'Godzilla and Anguirus argue about buying Bandai' could have segued into a Transformers fight, that was the one I didn't see coming. Bravo man.

Cybertronian/kaiju hybrids are also a sick ass idea! I'd love to see more designs with other kaiju, it's such a cool concept.
At least we'll always have Trypticon, the daikaiju Cybertronian that turns into a city (or base). Deathsaurus (at least model wise), Maijin Zarak, Cruellock from Energon whose alt-mode is based on "Godzilla" from 1998 (Though the scaling is off. There's probably more obscure daikaiju scaled/inspired I can't name off the top of my head.
While marmit is a great line, It's too expensive, Bandai is more affordable.
S.H MonsterArts is the GOAT though, but is incredibly expensive.

Thanks! But I feel otherwise, writing dialogue scenes is fun but I get carried away with it. The main reason why part 4 of my Godzilla award videos isn't done yet is that there's far too much talking in it. I need to trim it down but I don't want to sacrifice the character development and the themes discussed.

With all the games that are pushed out and content cut I want to see the full visions of the creator be made.
So if it takes a few weeks longer, or months, or even years, I’m fine with that as long as the creator is proud. Because let’s be honest. You could put out a 30 second clip and I know it would be amazing!

I love how the newspaper Moguera was reading contains a little reference to that one Coca Cola commercial.
For those unaware, Coca Cola released a campaign a couple of years ago advertising their Coke Zero Sugar. One of the commercials starred a dinosaur, to which people pointed out that it heavily resembled Gorosaurus. Whether that was intentional or a coincidence is anyone’s guess.

I love the little things about this video, mainly the newspaper and Mysterian Mog's voice. The Gorosaurus news was hilarious along with the predictions on what a Robotic Ankylosaur would look like. These just keep getting better and better. Also to add, it was sweet to see a close resemblence of the Anguirus transformer to the Dracodon Transformer.
I never seen Robo-Anguirus before. That would have been marvelous in the real movie! 🤩

VERY cool and creative! Beast Wars Transformer Anguirus! I love how he is disturbingly concerning sometimes, but is always cute and seems innocent at the same time! I think he just took too many hits to the head to be able to tell when he's doing something psycho. Anyway, very good job Vrahno! You are the best at CGI!
Vrahno doesn't answer comments but I would like to know how you did that crazy transformation, shape keys? Armature Rig animation or drivers? Or all of them? Wow absolutely fantastic as always, you, Gleb Alexandrov and Chris Jones are the best blender artists to exist!
Thanks! "All of them" is the correct guess. The moving bits are all on their own animation bones and there's two body rigs within the armature, the regular quadrupedal Anguirus rig and a humanoid robot rig. I used drivers to snap the moving parts from one rig to the other (using the "Copy Transforms" modifier on the bones), and animated all the other parts vanishing or appearing separately. Shape keys were also used to morph certain bodyparts into the necessary shapes between the two modes.

I can't streess enough how much I appreciate people that do stuff like this, that showcase the power of 3d software in general to make peasants understand "it's not just pressing a button". Thanks for answering . Your videos are unique, especially since you mix pantomimic and gen Z humor in the acting (like Anguirus making silly head bobbing after he ate Godzilla's tail) and a very rich English vocabulary.

I honestly would have preferred it if we actually saw Godzilla come back to via healing factor and immediately apologized to Anguirus for the way he treated him and decided to let him collect as many Bandai Godzilla figures as he wants, acknowledging that it was because of how much his friend/ally admired the passion put into those figures, even if they are still toys in his eyes.

You probably drew inspiration from the Shin Universe Robo and Transformers isn't marketed by Bandai in Japan.
Their competition of Takara-Tomy is. Hence the Japanese source for the designs came from Takara's Microman and Diaclone, among others!
