Just subscribed because of this video. Really informative content that is so hard to find compiled anywhere else on TH-cam. Thanks for this and looking forward to more deep dives into the intricacies of bourbon!
Video request: How every grain affects flavor, how every barrel toasting level affects flavor, how every barrel char affects flavor, how more/less age affects flavor, how more heat/cold (and more cycles) when aging affects flavor, how distillation methods affect flavor, how yeast affects flavor. Loads of topics for you to cover. :) Could make a whole series. Heck, would be cool if you could get some folks from professional distilleries and from moonshiner TH-cam to do some online interviews and guest appearances. I'd love to see collabs with other TH-camrs and highlighting the knowledge some of the master distillers from craft (or even major distilleries) can bring. Cheers.
Great informative video. It would be cool if you could get ahold of some Chinkapin Oak stuff to see what flavors you get off of it. I had a Holladay Ancient Cave that was finished in Chinkapin that I loved. If you can get Wood Hat whiskey in your area he uses Chinkapin as often as he can.

Arguably the most important aspect of flavor can be quite confusing. Fun video.

Red Oak- may not be great for whiskey but it’s one hell of a beer.
The TTB now allows for finishing years to be added to the overall age of a whiskey.
what about spanish oak
