Yay! This worked for me. It doesn't result in an easily editable outline, but I only need to do this on a few images. I like the `offset` idea. Works great
adjust color balance is greyed out for me where i cant even click on it... -__- welp time to go find another video that doesnt rely on quick key commands...
Thanks for making this! Question: You don't mention what you pressed after "create background" to make the image re-appear. I selected cmd+F again but no matter what I do, the "Offset Path" option is grayed out for me. What am I missing here?
I was quite excited about it but then the image trace just turned the whole btmap image a big white square. (Just found out the mistake: The color must be back because the image trace always create a white background, so there's must be a black image to contrast, ops! Thank uuuu)
You missed to specify a KEY step: the raster image has to be EMBEDDED, not LINKED.

go to windows>links then embed the image, then you can edit the adjust color balance in edit panel

Hi- You can create a background by Ractangle tool. Short key for Reactangle tool is => M
