As a Bad Company 2 elitist: Arica Harbour, Isla Inocentes and Valparaiso for Rush, all three had massively changing settings and flow to the Rush battles. Even the transport heli was insanely important to the success of the attacking teams, and was my favourite role, just circling around the enemy base, dodging RPGs, getting repaired by on board engineers, getting assists from the minigun gunners, dropping spawning squat mates on the enemy. BC2 just had THE most teamwork I've ever seen in an online game, you really felt satisfied when you saw the victory cutscene at the end, feeling the achievement of working as a team to get a hard=earned victory.
For conquest, Heavy Metal and Atacama Desert were my favourites, just straight up tank on tank action with lots of sniping...

So much passion and effort was poured into the $15 DLC, I never experienced a DLC with that much attention to detail, hell some entire games don’t have that amount of effort going into it. Strike is such a BANGER map!
EDIT 2: oh and Zavod... man Zavod is crazy good!
EDIT: My personal highlight will always be Para Cell Storm from BF4... Not because of the gameplay, which was "ok" but because of the trailer they dropped back then. The BF4 Theme, the insane build-up with the boats and helis, it was INTENSE. And to this day i wont forget how i literally JUMPED out of my chair when they showed how the ship crashed onto the island - i'm getting goosebumps just by typing this. Good times!

This list was def iconic to me, especially the BF4 ones for Shanghai, Metro, and Caspian, I also would add (I forget the name) the mountains from BF1 with the bunkers in the hills and the fortress at the end.... Especially when the back up blimp gets shot down...
2042 need stuff like this, I wished they pushed the levelution to the limits.
I feel like every time the landscape changes, you can see everyone kinda pause, get extremely hyped, and then get a revitalized energy to fight harder

It's certainly not "iconic" but Downtown from Hardline was one of my favorites. Ziplining between the two buildings, from the top floor of the skyscraper to the rooftop of the smaller one, plus the Levolution event when the construction crane fell down and smashed into another building, creating a new route to a flag. Plus like Siege of Shanghai you could parachute off the tall buildings (except you had two this time) to the lower points for the urban combat. It was awesome. I always wanted to see Downtown come back but sadly it's really unlikely

One game that is often forgotten about, Bad Company 1, had great maps too:
Ascension, an eastern european village, had great closed quarters combat.
Oasis, a middle eastern town, also offered urban combat with a large road in the centre.
Harvest Day, a central european farmland with a town in the end.
Par for the Course, a golf course, pretty hilarious and awesome for tank gameplay.
Acta non Verba, classic urban map, a city that is divided by a large river. 5 capzones, 2 on each side and one on the bridge.

Some of my best experiences in battlefield were in the smaller, choke point heavy maps. I have plenty of fond memories fighting through kill corridors and breaking through entrenched enemies. Maps like metro, operation locker, grand bazar, and damavand all managed to offer these amazing fighting lanes.
Battlefield is at its best when you are surrounded by other soldiers on those hot, danger close engagements, where the suppression effect is almost constant and you're sitting behind tiny cover surrounded by med bags and supply boxes.

Dude battlefield 3 was such a good ass game. I remember getting into battlefield from bad company 1 and 2. And everyone had a game they were good at in my family. My older brother was a pro at halo and as much as I tried I could never be quite as good. My oldest brother had call of duty. And when I played bad company’s multiplayer for the first time, I immediately knew that this was going to be my one game I was actually really good at. So I played both extensively as well as Battlefield 1943 for Xbox. Then the beta for battlefield 3 came out and boy did I know right then, it was going to be one of the best games ever.
