  • In this video, Henderson County Beekeeping Association (HCBA) President, Michelle Tennant Nicholson details support the club provides all members whether they are beginner, intermediate or advanced beekeepers. She discusses HCBA members who have recently moved from backyard hobbyists to commercial beekeepers and how you can do it, too.
All types of beekeepers are important to protecting pollinators in a community. Whether you want to keep 4 hives in your backyard or 400 in a commercial field, the Henderson County Beekeepers Association has something for you. In 2024, Bee School was offered in January and February. This week alone we have Commerical Beekeeper Tucker Worley discussing Spring Managment techniques with the club on Monday, April 15, 2024, intermediate beekeepers will love the special Zoom presentation with Dr. Dewey Caron (thanks to partnership with The Beekeepers of the Neuse) on Thursday, April 18th at 7:30 pm. Finally, advanced beekeepers will benefit from HCBA's hosting of the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association (NCSBA)'s Born and Bred Queen Rearing workshop in Western North Carolina, Saturday, April 20th, 2024.
So, you see, no matter where your journey is as a beekeeper, we will have something for you. Your goals are our goals. At HCBA, you will find local honey, local mentors and above all else, a community for all beekeepers. Won't you join us?
