- Come and join us for our final day on board the Carnival Mardi Gras for our first ever cruise! In this vlog we spend our final day at sea and enjoy the various different activities on board the ship. This includes the awesome high ropes course over water, mini golf and also checking out the waterpark. We also enjoy our final night of entertainment as we say goodbye to our fantastic adventure on board the Carnival Mardi Gras!

What amazing series! I think something like 99% of people that try cruising, end up falling in love with it and cruise again. We are those people 😂. We have been on 7 Disney cruises & 4 Royal Caribbean (highly recommend Oasis class for you guys) & we are trying our first Carnival on the Mardi Gras for New Year’s! This has made me so excited. Everything was my favorite. Lol.

Oh, I just loved these vlogs, really feels like I'm cruising with you. The picture is just so clear and vivid-the colors of the ocean!!!! I'm so glad you two really enjoyed yourselves can't wait to see more cruise vlogs in the future. Absolutely fantastic! It's like a Las Vegas mega-resort, but sailing the ocean instead of being on land. And almost all-inclusive as well, which is even better!

The whole crusie has been amazing to watch, some of your best vlogs, you were both very brave to do the rope course, looking forward to you doing more cruises. So glad you two had a wonderful time!! It sure did look fun! What I think you two should do is experience an Alaskan cruise! You CAN do them during the summer but don't expect swimmable beaches and pack for weather anywhere from 50 degrees to 75 degrees! Rain gear including shoes is recommended. The glaciers are so beautiful as is the state!! You will not feel like you are in the USA! You still will get everything you got on this cruise from food, free ice cream, all night pizza and so on. Pools I don't know bit think so and lots of hot tubs!! I recommend you get a balcony room though as at any given time you can see humpback whales, seals, Orcas and so on! Tie this cruise in with Disneyland and maybe another West Coast park!! I just really think you two will love it!! Check out Princess Majestic cruises for that!!

It’s been a month and a half since I exited my last cruise and I still haven’t recovered. I do hope the mourning process is going better for you.
I always wondered if you guys ever would do a Cruise. When you announced back in August, I think. I was thrilled. My family and friends have Cruise Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Cruising is the best vacations ever!!! And we are Huge Disney people, but cruising, man, it's another world. We sailed Mardi Gras back in September 2021. Watching all your vlogs, just brought back amazing memories! I'm so happy Shawn & Charlotte that you both had a fabulous time. Just to let you know, you have the Cruise bug and now cruising are in your blood! I get so excited I could talk about cruising forever, I think my family, friends and I are going to do Virgin Voyages in 2025. Just wanted to say Shawn you started if off at the sail away party with your dancing and Charlotte with your wonderful karaoke. I love watching you both, your just amazing couple! 🥰Can't wait until the next adventures. 🏖🛳😃😁

Amazing vlogs guys!have to recommend Royal Caribbean cruise to their island of Labadee, amazing zip line and mountain coaster, is an up charge (not cheap) but worth it!I was lucky enough to do both and I think you would love it!😄

On the Bolt Coaster.....surely they could have it open and running in some of the Ports ?...more likely to be shielded from the wind.

Even if I could walk around the high rope course. I know you’re tied on but I was feeling a little vertigo just watching, especially when you both walked out on the strip over the side of the ship. Definitely braver than me.
Playing golf on a rolling ship was hilarious. Shawn enjoyed more fun on the water slides. Nice worldwide show to end your cruise with.
I really enjoyed this series. You had so many more food and entertainment options than our first ever three night cruise with Disney. We ate in a different restaurant every night and our serving staff came with us. Though the food was excellent, there was an occasion when, like Shawn, we would have eaten chicken tenders. 😂 That cruise was a little short but we chose it because I wasn’t sure if I had sea-legs. We stopped at Nassau and Castaway Cay but I liked the locations you docked at. So much so, that we have already looked into a Carnival cruise for 2025. Thanks for taking us along.

Nice selection of slides, looks exciting. Of course no ride on inflatable tube slides due to the winds and breezes blowing the tubes and making them dangerous to handle....especially for kids.

Great vlog series. I did my first cruise out of Port Carnaveral last Sept on Royal Caribbean. Only 3 other Brits on board too! Somehow we were louder than all the Americans in the shows lol

That's it, you now have the bug welcome to the cruise club🚢. Top tip: Take your bags with you in the morning and just walk off, from experience, it'll be quicker than sitting in a muster station waiting to be herded off as regardless of your name, the alphabet or your cabin number you'll be hanging around for ages and then have to play hunt the case once you get off the ship.👍😀

My husband and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon and we played mini golf on a very windy day. It was very difficult because the wind was so hard the ball wouldn't stay still at all 😂

Shawn I know you don't like to talk about accommodation costs but please can you tell us what the overall cost was of the cruise part of the trip? It will help newbies like me to work out the affordability of it all. Unless it was complimentary..
It was around £1000 for the both of us
The final performance was a bit too cheesy for my tastes but certainly fun.
I do want to look into cruises now though, probably will be completely different to this’s it was pretty much everything I avoid when on holiday, I’m all about immersing myself in the culture much more.
What week did you guys go? I believe I saw you on the ship!

We’re from the UK however visited Australia back in January and only saw small spiders!

Hi ya. I guess this might be directed more to Charlotte, but the ONLY thing putting me off a cruise is the seasickness. Just how manageable and noticeable was it? Xx
You can buy motion sickness pills...or wristbands or even injections. I've been on a weeks trip on a 72ft sailing craft across to the Hook of Holland with 12 other people. First day at Sea...10 were sick over the side for half a day but then perfectly fine. Many years later did a Cruise on a large ship in the Carribean....didn't feel sick once...yet you could walk inside along a corridor and you'd sway side to side a bit...but again didn't feel sick.
The newest ships these days have all kinds of design features that limit rocking. I can't promise you won't get seasick, but if you book a new ship (most cruiselines will mark their newest ships on their websites) then it'll be minimal. You can also try doing a long-weekend (3 night) cruise to start, to see how it feels before you book a longer one.
It was rocking during our cruise but only due the nearby hurricane. Cabin crew on board said it was worse than usual on this cruise!
High ropes course or the golf, what was your best

With the mini golf I'd suggest always playing match play. I.e lowest score wins the hole. And you count the holes you've won vs your opponent. If it's 18 holes...you could both win 9 each ... each hole if you score the same it's counted as a draw thus doesn't go on holes won. Thus. 18 holes...you might draw 10, win 4 each and that means overall it was a draw. If you wanna make it more spicier..!? Play match play and say a dollar / pound per hole....thus..it's possible to win $18 / £18. Lol.
Not quite sure if that ropes course is meant to be fun or a exercise !?

It is the widest speaking language in the world. 2nd is Spanish. But the language spoken by the most people is Mandarin.

Disney Cruise is ok, but its more family friendly cruise compared to the Carnival Cruise.

If you like and play mini Crazy golf frequently...how about playing Matchplay..I.e. lowest score wins the hole and the overall winner is the person who has won most holes...i.e.. possible to win 18 - 0...but probably be more like if two persons playing...10 holes drawn and 4 each in holes won....overall a draw. Could even play for money...£1 per hole.

Wonderful, Wonderful series guys...well done. The only reason why i wouldn't do a Carnival cruise is they don't include flights. So you book your cruise and then your flights.....but if problem with flights!!!! It's not a package. No responsibility of either cruise company or flight company to sort/refund
