Back in 2008 when I was 13yrs old, my cousin and I met Martin Short alongside Eugene Levy at the Governor General Awards. Eugene was a little stand-offish, maybe because I had asked for a picture and he was busy or maybe because I was so young and knew of his films. On the other hand, I remember Martin Short being extremely happy to take a photo with us, talk to us and be an over all nice guy. I consider him a true Canadian icon and one I can always think about in a positive light.
Martin Short is a riot, and Steve Martin is also a riot.

I don’t laugh out loud at many shows at all, but somehow whenever these two are on I can’t stop :)
I wonder if, in their personal lives, every conversation is a bit at this point (like it is every interview). I can't imagine how much my face would hurt being around these two every day. Legends isn't even a strong enough word. I grew up watching these two and, despite feeling incredibly old when I see how old they've gotten, they haven't changed a bit. They have a timeless humor that is hard to come by.
I love Steve Martin. I was in the first Desert Storm and he and his wife at the time came out in the middle of nowhere visited us and brought a little bit of American spirit to us. Made us feel we weren't alone and that we were loved and supported back home. I have a picture of him there on a Abrams tank signing his name and saying " Up your Saddam".

Steve's made some of the greatest comedy movies ever. The Jerk I can watch every six months and still love. Same with The Lonely Guy, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, The Man With Two Brains and of course Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
As for Marty, I'll say simply, Halfwits from SCTV.
I like them both in chats more than movies. the jerk was great but other than that. oh, both were terrific on Saturday nite live.

Dear Jimmy's Sound Engineer - Please, learn compression and gain. There's no good reason why every single time I watch one of Jimmy's TH-cam clips I have to turn my volume up and then turn it back down when I'm done. These vids are all at least 5db lower than any other professional video on TH-cam. Get it together, man.

I agree but afaik TH-cam adds its own Loudness normalization in post. I don't know why they don't use a Peak or DRC but yeah that might add into it and i doubt that they actually check the video after they uploaded it.
So thats what the problem is. I thought something was off with my phone. I hope they see this message.
