Not really. Idk where you've seen Luthor before, but he's supposed to have a bigger frame. He's muscular, physically intimidating and looks menacingly charismatic. I'm not getting that here, but maybe the actor will deliver.
It is so refreshing to see Superman have an actual physical reaction to the hit he takes. He actually got the wind knocked out of him. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that. He may be the man of steel, but I need to see a reaction to being shot out of the sky.
@@brentkerr4791 i think he takes those hits personally bc movie is about how modern humanity kind of rejects him and doesn’t need him so its more on emotional side

bs, he could not even feel this something hits his head, it is just a actor who react at hit. Terrible. And most ugly ppl and characters of this lore i seen by years.
0:26 Clark walks past a security holding up a newspaper in which the line reads "Hammer of Boravia Creates Havoc Downtown". Boravia is a country within the DCU tied in with Blackhawk, who trained Hawkgirl, and Hawkgirl is seen in the trailer. 1:55 The news headline on the TV reads "Boravian troops amassing at border" 1:29 I believe this is Hawkgirl that Lex is seeing and not Superman. You can see what looks like wings instead of a cape.
This trailer makes me realize how Superman's greatest strength, is how he utilizes his powers, in particular restraint. When he saves that girl 1:22, it must take such an incredible amount of restraint not to crush her in that moment by sheer accident, because he just can, but he has somehow learned to restrain himself, something that would have taken years of training. This is a beautiful trailer in the eyes of this old superman fan.
@wolfiegames8066 is superman vs the elite, Kal-El straight up states this. Every step takes is an earthquake if he does not restrain himself. The reason why he is the greatest hero of all time is that he essentially suffers constantly. Homelander, Omniman and what ever other 'evil' superman versions there are don't even compare in power. Kal-El is canonically more powerful than god and somehow leads a normal life.
Finally, another superman that is awe inspiring, heroic, and vulnerable. “I can stop bullets with my eyeballs, redirect asteroids with a shrug, clear an ocean with a single breath, but there is one thing I can’t do Lois. And that is being everywhere for everyone. I know that when I saved that little girl, a teenage boy in Cleveland dies, when I save that family, another one dies instead,”
That’s my theory. The last line. The kid in the trailer dies because superman couldn’t save the little boy in time and as a result superman is condemned by the public which is why he gets that cab thrown at his head.
@@master-of-mind5881Or, during whatever legal shenanigans is happening, he hears the kid whispering and bails to do the right thing. Wasn't there a whole plot since New 52 where some government suit tried to discourage Superman from saving people overseas, especially from American wars.

Do I miss Henry Cavill? Yes, but this teaser shows us that Superman is not just this god-like being walking among us. He is Clark Kent, a shy man with a crush on Lois. He is a saviour, who protects people. He is a boy from Kansas and therefore down to earth. This teaser shows it. I am hyped and want to watch the movie.

The show "Invincible" demonstrates this concept in graphic, gory detail. Clark is a paramount of self-control.
Clearly your a bot. I've read this same comment 10+ times.
I’d bet he used more energy to make sure he didn’t snap her neck when he bent her head down then he didn’t flying at super speed to get to her
