Even birds that you can reasonably keep as pets ((Cockatoo and parrots for example)) shouldn't be in a cage overlong if it can be helped. My brother in law owns a small cockatoo and the bird's outside of the cage when he's not at work or it's bedtime. We had to put it back in the cage when his sister was over with her son for the first two years because for some reason he wouldn't 'be nice' to the baby but he's starting to come around ((our guess is crumbs from 'snacktime' are earning points- no, these snacks won't make the bird sick. we've already checked.)) Outside of that though, he's got a few hanging spots in the house and can more or less hang out and fly around. It allows them to stay healthy.

Let's leave them free, let's do not put them in a cage.") as well as the message at the end of the video, and the website it refers to, is about the protection of birds. 🤷

@@anoptforout I have to agree, I have rescue rats, they had been bred for various terrible reasons and bred in such a way they wouldn't survive, they have a home with me but have free run, they are the most beautiful loving intelligent souls, animals are so much more (humane) than people feel they are, myself and rats go into the garden on walks etc we have a bond so strong I can't explain, but demand for pets leads to horrific suffering, it needs to shown for what it is regardless for unpleasant images we have the ability to stop this suffering and to do nothing simply isn't an option

The criminals are those people who buy creatures of all to sorts to satisfy their utterly unacceptable caprice. The indigenous people who trap are simply doing so to feed their family as a general rule. I am shaken, whilst watching these birds in captivity, by the extreme visceral hate I feel toward the cultures which create demand in this marketplace...such a strong feeling at odds with the profoundly haunting music of Einaudi.

I really don't understand, how people can treat animals like that! It breaks my heart! The earth, with all it's beautifull nature and animal would really be better of without human beeings. Ludovico has much experience and knowledge from life and expresses them out to us. I think he really shows many emotions in his compositions because of this (Such as his pieces Experience, Luminous, Nuvole Bianche, and I could go on and on). This is why Ludovico's a genius (In my opinion) in not just compositions, but as well as life.
Having spent 25yrs doing waterfowl and songbird rescue and rehab...this hits me too hard...if everyone could feel the pain and fear of a beautiful bird stuck, trapped, suffering they would understand the devastation, if they witnessed the gratitude and joy of that same bird helped, healed, free they would be overcome by emotion beyond comprehension. Those birds who do not survive, it is a tremendous blessing to me to be able to be there in their final moments to provide all I can then- love, presence, dignity, respect, compassion, tear-rolling empathy.
You are the man of the hour in this time in history, Ludovico. I met you in Washington DC. You have the power to soften hearts and change minds. Never forget that.

vous avez tellement de gentillesse envers les créatures et votre âme est tellement pleine de douceur et de générosité et d'humilité. merci pour vos communications de sensibilisation pour protéger les animaux de la nature. il est effectivement affreux de mettre de la colle sur les branches et de piéger ces pauvres oiseaux qui se font emmener séparés de leur famille et parfois de leurs petits qui ne voient plus jamais revenir leur mère pour les nourrir. je suis contre la chasse dans les forêts nous devons respecter la vie des animaux et c'est dans la nature qu'ils sont le plus heureux. mais attention à ne pas relacher des oiseaux domestiques dans la nature car ils n'ont jamais appris à se nourrir dans la vie sauvage et il y a aussi des oiseaux qui ne peuvent pas survivre à l'hiver de nos pays et qui sont aussi trop petits ils se feraient immédiatement attaquer par les corbeaux ou grands oiseaux de nos jardins. il faut les protéger et leur offrir un grand espace de vie proportionnellement à sa taille si vous avez déjà un oiseau à la maison. de même les colombes qui sont nées chez les éleveurs ne sauraient pas se débrouiller pour trouver de la nourriture car elles ont toujours eu des graines dans la mangeoire et ne savent pas attraper les insectes et ne sauraient pas où elles peuvent aller pour trouver des graines.

This video makes me so sad and mad the same time!! How stupid, blind, ignorant and cruel are people, who buy this birds and probably even think it's animal love! I really don't understand, how people can treat animals like that! It breaks my heart! The earth, with all it's beautifull nature and animal would really be better of without human beeings. Thanks Ludvico, for sharing this video and give those beautifull creatures a voice, to get their beautiful songs back and let them fly agin.

Ludovico has much experience and knowledge from life and expresses them out to us. I think he really shows many emotions in his compositions because of this (Such as his pieces Experience, Luminous, Nuvole Bianche, and I could go on and on). This is why Ludovico's a genius (In my opinion) in not just compositions, but as well as life.
Having spent 25yrs doing waterfowl and songbird rescue and rehab...this hits me too hard...if everyone could feel the pain and fear of a beautiful bird stuck, trapped, suffering they would understand the devastation, if they witnessed the gratitude and joy of that same bird helped, healed, free they would be overcome by emotion beyond comprehension. Those birds who do not survive, it is a tremendous blessing to me to be able to be there in their final moments to provide all I can then- love, presence, dignity, respect, compassion, tear-rolling empathy.
So sad to see those caged looks. Thanks Ludovico for your work, may your music give healthy brains to humanity.

vous avez tellement de gentillesse envers les créatures et votre âme est tellement pleine de douceur et de générosité et d'humilité. merci pour vos communications de sensibilisation pour protéger les animaux de la nature. il est effectivement affreux de mettre de la colle sur les branches et de piéger ces pauvres oiseaux qui se font emmener séparés de leur famille et parfois de leurs petits qui ne voient plus jamais revenir leur mère pour les nourrir. je suis contre la chasse dans les forêts nous devons respecter la vie des animaux et c'est dans la nature qu'ils sont le plus heureux. mais attention à ne pas relacher des oiseaux domestiques dans la nature car ils n'ont jamais appris à se nourrir dans la vie sauvage et il y a aussi des oiseaux qui ne peuvent pas survivre à l'hiver de nos pays et qui sont aussi trop petits ils se feraient immédiatement attaquer par les corbeaux ou grands oiseaux de nos jardins. il faut les protéger et leur offrir un grand espace de vie proportionnellement à sa taille si vous avez déjà un oiseau à la maison. de même les colombes qui sont nées chez les éleveurs ne sauraient pas se débrouiller pour trouver de la nourriture car elles ont toujours eu des graines dans la mangeoire et ne savent pas attraper les insectes et ne sauraient pas où elles peuvent aller pour trouver des graines.

I have such a strong connection to all birds, I wish others did too. I see birds as spiritual messengers, they see the world from a different point of view and perhaps if humans could see the beauty of the planet that we destroy everyday from a bird's point of view. The human race would change!!!
