That video just broke my heart. Birds don't belong in a cage, just like no other animal does. Beautiful music. I just love your work @Ludovico Einaudi. You're an amazing talent. I hope the world listens. Not just to your music but also to your message.
Even birds that you can reasonably keep as pets ((Cockatoo and parrots for example)) shouldn't be in a cage overlong if it can be helped.
My brother in law owns a small cockatoo and the bird's outside of the cage when he's not at work or it's bedtime. We had to put it back in the cage when his sister was over with her son for the first two years because for some reason he wouldn't 'be nice' to the baby but he's starting to come around ((our guess is crumbs from 'snacktime' are earning points- no, these snacks won't make the bird sick. we've already checked.)) Outside of that though, he's got a few hanging spots in the house and can more or less hang out and fly around. It allows them to stay healthy.
This video is not about birds.. is about humans. Even in the starting of the video, the audience is represented by birds. Everything here is covered in symbols. A masterpiece!

Although humans have more power to 'uncage' themselves than animals have. The video demonstrates how humans are unable to appreciate nature and its beauty without harming it, not only with regard to wild birds, but everything in general. I praise the video for its ability to touch the soul and make us reflect from beginning to end. Ludovico Einaudi is sensational!

There are indeed individuals who appreciate and protect the environment, which is fortunate for all of us. However, when discussing the impact of humanity as a whole on nature, generalizations can be meaningful. Serious issues such as global warming, extinct animals, and endangered species indicate that there are significant challenges stemming from human activities. While exceptions exist, it is important to recognize the collective responsibility we have in addressing these environmental issues and promoting a more sustainable relationship with nature.
We are the only species in the history of the earth to dedicate resources to intentionally preserve other species.

A bird in a cage isn’t cute or fun, it represents robbed freedom, torn families, suffering and declining biodiversity. For every bird in a cage, up to 9 birds have died. We must repair our broken relation with the natural world. 🦜❤

@@anoptforout I have to agree, I have rescue rats, they had been bred for various terrible reasons and bred in such a way they wouldn't survive, they have a home with me but have free run, they are the most beautiful loving intelligent souls, animals are so much more (humane) than people feel they are, myself and rats go into the garden on walks etc we have a bond so strong I can't explain, but demand for pets leads to horrific suffering, it needs to shown for what it is regardless for unpleasant images we have the ability to stop this suffering and to do nothing simply isn't an option

I cried while listening to the piano. Birds come and sing on the tree in front of my house every day. I realized that it was not natural, and came to want to protect this peaceful time. Thank you for the wonderful music🐦

The criminals are those people who buy creatures of all to sorts to satisfy their utterly unacceptable caprice. The indigenous people who trap are simply doing so to feed their family as a general rule. I am shaken, whilst watching these birds in captivity, by the extreme visceral hate I feel toward the cultures which create demand in this marketplace...such a strong feeling at odds with the profoundly haunting music of Einaudi.

Ludovico has much experience and knowledge from life and expresses them out to us. I think he really shows many emotions in his compositions because of this (Such as his pieces Experience, Luminous, Nuvole Bianche, and I could go on and on). This is why Ludovico's a genius (In my opinion) in not just compositions, but as well as life.

I have such a strong connection to all birds, I wish others did too. I see birds as spiritual messengers, they see the world from a different point of view and perhaps if humans could see the beauty of the planet that we destroy everyday from a bird's point of view. The human race would change!!!

This video makes me so sad and mad the same time!! How stupid, blind, ignorant and cruel are people, who buy this birds and probably even think it's animal love! I really don't understand, how people can treat animals like that! It breaks my heart! The earth, with all it's beautifull nature and animal would really be better of without human beeings. Thanks Ludvico, for sharing this video and give those beautifull creatures a voice, to get their beautiful songs back and let them fly agin.

Soy observadora de aves en libertad y no hay nada que me haga tan feliz, verlas en libertad y siempre digo un ave en una jaula no canta está llorando porque la han encerrado!! Ojalá se tome conciencia de la crueldad que se comete al sacar una especie de su hábitat y luego introducirla en una jaula.

Having spent 25yrs doing waterfowl and songbird rescue and rehab...this hits me too hard...if everyone could feel the pain and fear of a beautiful bird stuck, trapped, suffering they would understand the devastation, if they witnessed the gratitude and joy of that same bird helped, healed, free they would be overcome by emotion beyond comprehension. Those birds who do not survive, it is a tremendous blessing to me to be able to be there in their final moments to provide all I can then- love, presence, dignity, respect, compassion, tear-rolling empathy.

soo beautiful melody and video ...touching.. .makes me cry for all the pain ,the destruction that we cause to nature in general ....animals who are condemned for life to the uncondional acceptance of human violence..asking myself when we will be true humans armed with sensitivity because then life is not flat anymore in contrary it deepends and all in Life take a new meaning, truer to their true essence ,and nature is projected as an constant present, unexplored wonder..but so far we have not even managed to to abolish war and hunger in the world..😞
