Yamaha Genos Audio Style - Using Audio Phraser! WOW!

- It's incredible what you can do with the Genos - and using the Audio Phraser means you can split an audio track into sections and trigger them from the style section. Never knew this keyboard could do such a seamless split between sections of the song.
PSR-SX900 and Genos have AUDIO Style. That's so great! I download all the 8 expansion packs AUDIO STYLE for Genos form Yamaha web site. Works so good on my PSR-SX900.
I had no idea this function was available on the Genos. What this instrument can do is truly amazing! Thanks Leigh.

I used this feature to create audio styles on tyros 5. I have some custom drum loops from ketron audya so used them for audio drums. Problem is, there is a bug in audio phrazer software where after creating style and importing it in keyboard if you want to use fills in audio style you need to press fill button in just right moment otherwise fill is ignored. No problems for variations...Friend of mine tried this on genos, same thing. Shame since this way you can create nice sounding audio styles... And this bug was never fixed.

I don't have a Genos, but can you remove vocals/instruments from the mix to play them live?
Yes you can.
Hello, this is certainly new to me. I have never heard of this software and seems a bit daunting though I’m sure it’s very good. I’m a proud Genos owner. Is it possible to mute the vocal tough it’s excellent.

It can be done on any instrument into which you can enter your own sound samples. Our own sound samples can be loaded onto any midi, style, pad track, and the Audio Phraser program is absolutely necessary. We can create our samples with any music editing program. The sample created with Audio Phraser can only be loaded into the given audio style track.

Hey do you reckon when we update Geno's with yearly update of firmware do you reckon it changes the sound of. A bit dull because I reckon it sounds a bit dull then when I first bought it

buy a good pair of speakers frank, it makes a world of difference....i struggled with the same issue using the genos speakers at first which sounded actually horrible ..... hook on a good set and you will think you have new keyboard!
I tried to input audio tracks on audio Phraser but I always failed... can you explain that process ? it seems that the process is made easier if you have drum loops, but with audio acappellas its a total different thing...
I’ve given up using it. It’s flawed and doesn’t always work well.
@@LeighWilbraham totally agreed, I also have given up a few times, but so, what would be the alternative to create audio styles... it does not seem real that Yamaha cannot provide a proper way to add time stretch audio to their styles...
@@pietropavan777 that’s because using Audio for styles is mega restrictive and not a good way to make music.
@@LeighWilbraham I found a way to work with audio Phraser... I gave up so many times.. your video was like an inspiration to try again... this time I managed to import up to 17 to 19 BARS of vocal content and it's all synced !! but its hard work using the manual 0.000000 indexes in the bottom of the page...

i wish my genos 2 could make audio multipads that changes chord when playing different cords not only a specific cord or pitch

The style will loop seamlessly. The pads just play a wav file. This is completely different.
I don’t understand what this does. Is this software for Genos or windows pc? Do you have to have Logik? I just don’t get it….

That’s let you use audio files on the 11 bottoms of the style section, mean, you can edit a song like karaoké mp3 and divide it in 11 parts like intro/A/B/bridge/Ending or more,you do it with your daw like ableton live,cubase,Logic and after, you import your wav files into the Audio phraser app (Free from yamaha) ,you edit and import in the genos,after you can enjoy make loop audio like reapeting section of your song or not, you have choice to loop or not. I was doing this on m’y computer with ableton live, know, you can do on the genos, the basics audio things.
