Mockups: Printify has some great mockup sources on these at the moment. It will take some extra effort but you can turn the blanks they provide into mockups. Also Etsy has some solid Canva friendly mockups for sale. Great investment! Pixel Sizes: This took me some research and experimenting. Once I got it right I made a template on Canva so my sizes for each blanket size are saved and I can go in and design. Research: Definitely research what to design for these. You can do so much AND you can even keep it simple with themes and patterns like Cristina shows us, BUT invest* (because my original comment autocorrected to incest and that's just WRONG.) the time and energy for the research. Hope this helps! 💛
Hello, One small question, if the design has a transparent background in some parts, when we create the product at printfy we are required to choose a background color, does this mean that the transparent areas will come out in that color or will the natural background of the blanket appear? Thank you
Wow you got 3 sales from just 20 listings on a new store! I have listed 30 woven blankets since October 1st, and only have 10 views for the month lol. I'm in the photo blanket niche, maybe I should change to the artwork niche.
I tried both! 2 were a couples blanket with a custom map and one was a custom dog blanket. Keep adding! I have lots of experience with creating Etsy listings so I got to skip the learning phase and knew what info to include. Usually it takes me much more listings to get my first sales!
@@BonjourAdventures You need to keep listing regularly, as Etsy algorithm operates on recency, and doesn't show your listings unless they were bought or listed recently.
Awesome Tutorial, thank so much for sharing all this valuable info!!!! ... One quick question, which variation is "Artwork" and which one is "Photo"? Is the cream variant "Artwork"?
Thank you Christina, great video. I would loooove to add this product to my store but I'm already feeling overwhelmed with tshirts and sweatshirts, maybe next year once I have gotten the rhythm right 😋
Thank you for sharing this video. If I’m not mistaken, there won’t be any white color in the finished woven blanket; the colors will start from a light beige tone.
Hi, I love your videos! Quick question..... I know that Etsy has changed their rulings so the first listing photo needs to be a real photo (not AI).... how do you get around this requirement?
I would say woven blankets are one of my best selling products. I was wondering how the quality/thickness of the Printify woven blankets compares to other providers? I like the quality of Gooten's blankets, for instance, and would like to know if the Printify blankets match that quality. Thanks for the content!
Id say its the same! I just got my pritnify one and it was very similar to my gooten one :) they may even be the same supplier since gooten also outsources but doesnt share the name of their printer
@@c.u.onlineyou’re probably right. I see a TeeLaunch has them also. When you equal each of their prices and shipping it’s only a couple bucks difference. Prob depends on whichever one you order from and preference. Ty!!
@@stacyosborn4537 I use Gooten. I price my blankets in the middle of my competitors. In comparing my costs, Printify's woven blankets appear cheaper to produce than through Gooten. If the quality and all other things being equal, I may shift to Printify! Gooten has been a good production partner all around though.
def wanna upscale the ai image..there are free upscalyers out there. or even vectorize. I wouldnt wanna pay that much and not get a better quality image on the product when its possible and very easy to do.
Hi Christina, do you think it's fine to sell woven blankets in an Etsy store that also sells T-shirts, sweatshirts and totes, or does it need it's own store?
Do you know if they are as thick as gooten or shine on? Maybe we can see if made by same supplier. Maybe if anyone has sold these from other places and get a sample to compare and let us know! Ty all!!
Hi Christina, I made a design on printify and it has words on it. But when I see the mockup, I cannot see the text clearly from the printify mockup. Do you think because printify doesn't generate the mockup properly?
Wow your content is super helpful! Second video in after subscribing and I'm hooked. Question - you mentioned you have multiple stores, i wonder if one has varied products could you not sell these in the one shop or do the products have to be all related? For example if someone was selling parent and kids stuff could they sell say this woven blanket and mom and kid t-shirts plus wall art for kids rooms? Would link to the theme or should one open a shop for product type and add variations under a specific product? Thank you!
It is better to just have 1 store and find a way to link it all together- managing miultiple stores is VERY hard and the reason that Im most liekly not going to do the woven blankets much, I may just create a few in my regular store niche and add them there.
I put these in my shop and it was a disaster! The images that I submitted were clean, crisp and beautiful but what she’s not telling you is that the process to weave them makes the product dull and not what the customer expects. I had one fall blankets sell well and had refund requests immediately. I wasn’t giving refunds but decided to do so so not to get bad reviews. Yes, the blankets are made well, yes, the profits are higher but this product is not what customers expect when woven. I removed these from my store because I spent alot of time explaining and showing them the difference in my mockups and slides on my shop. Yes, I showed the difference between the image and what the blanket would look like afterwards. All that didn’t sway the customers who said I was misleading. I don’t need that type of stress and drama from anyone so I would suggest either not listing them or spend $100’s of dollar buying each design and just post the actual blanket. I guarantee you won’t get as many sales once they see how they come out.
I have 5 stars on these and I have 2 samples at home and theyre wonderful. Sounds like you just had one bad customer. The mockups I use also convert the design to more realistic colors so I use those and have disclaimers saying that the color will be duller in person
I totally agree. I just bought this mock up thing and it will not help because it makes fake looking mock ups that is not what the blank it will look like it needs some kind of filter to show that it is woven.!
Yes! you will have to make your etsy listing, enable personalization and leave the SKUs blank. Once someone orders, it will go through printify's "other orders" tab. You can then fulfill the order with the custom product you made with the photos.
This is great - so helpful. But I am not sure what I am doing wrong. When I upload that psd file into photopea - I don't see 'design' like you show on the right side. It doesn't look like that at all. What am I doing wrong? Would so appreciate some help - I can do all steps besides giving it the woven look! It just has a small icon of the file I uploaded and next to it, it says 'background'.
I finally figured out what to do but I had to watch about 20 TH-cam videos to figure it out and I knew that once I did, that it would be simple ...and it was. It wasn't at all like it was described in this video however.

Informative video but something is missing in the content. You have the name at the bottom but how does it change to suit the customer' name when they buy?
Ah you're right! If you want to make it customized, turn on personalization in the listing in Printify (its a new toggle on the product page) that way your listing goes to "other orders" and wont go right into production so you can edit the file to include the right names
You can on canva too but they only do 1 size, just make it smaller like 3000x4000, make sure its high quality and then you can scale the page larger when you are saving it by dragging up the quality slider
My guess is they are. Gooten are like Printify and contract out the printing to other companies. The Gooten woven blankets are shipped from NY and the Printify ones use MWW Print on Demand and they are also located in NY... not sure how to confirm this though. My Gotten blankets have been selling well with lots of 5 star reviews so the last thing I want to do is change to a different provider and the quality decreases.
@@Kirsty-q8x If you don't mind, can you tell me how much are you selling your blankets for? And how many have you sold so far? I'm not getting any views or sells on mine yet. Maybe it's my SEO or having a 3 month old shop with no sales.
