But the city of New Orleans, where beignets were invented, pronounce it as Or-lens. Soft e, no a. If you think the humidity in Orlando can be unbearable, it’s worse in New Orleans. I’ve been there a few times, and at different times of the year, and the humidity level has always been higher than the heat itself! If you have to endure a hurricane in Florida, it is widely acknowledged a Disney resort is the best place to be. Even locals will book a stay to ride it out there, than at home.
