Shulker farm takes too long to built. I think someone in Nijisanji (if I'm not wrong it's Belmond) spend hours just to bring a shulker to the overworld not counting when it doesn't work properly and the shulker accidentally killed. Iron farm on the other hand is easily build but it'd take a lot of spaces since you need to spawnproof the area around it. It's the same principle as having a wither farm under the nether roof.

That means you dont even have bring the shulker to the overworld, and just build the farm close to an end city.
