    This video felt like visiting with family. I live in Alberta but my mom is from Nova Scotia and we have a lot of family in New Brunswick. I think that I shall have to visit again. Thank you for reminding me of how wonderful it felt to be in the Maritimes with family!

    I have exactly the same boat as you! I love it. I live in Southampton, UK, and drive my boat around the Solent/Southampton Water. Busiest shipping area in the world, so I have to be careful!

      That is awesome Andrew and we love it too. Luckily for us, we do not have any shipping Ships in our area but still need to be carefull with other boaters and pwc's popularity increasing year over year. Cheers from Canada my friend and thanks for watching 👊

      Firstly upgraded the motor to a Honda BF225, installed diesel air heater, fitted the trim tabs with an automatic attitude control system, saltwater wash down pump for cleaning up after fishing, sliding bait station behind the cockpit bench, electric toilet - just little things… 😊

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are all sweet upgrades...the diesel heater and trim tabs are definitely on my to do list in the near future.

    • @osvadlenak
      @osvadlenak 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChasingSunsets yest the heater makes it sooo much nicer on a cool night. we have a small tank in the cockpit lazarette and the heater is mounted in the space under the fridge. Hot air ducted to the area under the cabin table. we put the air intake in the aft corner above the backrest. the temperature is controlled with a digital thermostat. such a heater is super efficient on diesel. highly recommended.

    Merci pour les videos.
    Real life reviews.
    Before deciding on MF 695, what other boats did you consider?
    I'm looking at Antares 7 or 8 Beneteau, Cutwater 24 Coupe and the MF 695.

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Salut René et merci. To give you a quick background, we owned two sailboats back to back and then decided to buy a small center console as a quick way to get to our secluded spots for kitesurfing. We quickly found that we were missing the cabin of the sailboats and fell upon the Merry Fisher that our local dealer had in inventory. I briefly looked at others such as the Antares but thought they looked verry much the same or even a bit less refined. Also, since our dealer had the 695, we were able to take it for a sea trial and it sealed the deal for us.
      I will try to make a review of what to expext as a new owner with things like wster slapping when at anchor and a fairly noisy/rough ride when in rough water if you go too fast.
      But all and all, we love it.
      I am on on Instagram if you whish to text multipple chat questions. chassingsunsets71
      Merci, Yvan.

    Love it. I am looking at buying one soon, but maybe you can help with a towing question. My 23 bmw x5 xdrive 40i has a towing capacity of 7200 lbs / 3265 kg. Do you think the BMW be able to tow a 695 merry fisher ?

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem at all with the X5. I towed it with the Mercedes GLE, which is the equivalent to the X5 barely felt it. Feel free to follow me on Instagram @yvanlaviolette if you have more questions.

    Hello there, thank you for sharing! Could you please let me know if it is possible for 2 adults to seat together comfortably, one next to each other, on the bench at the port side behind the copilot seat inside the wheelhouse?

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Vassilis, my wife and can fit on the front seat fairly comfortable (shoulder to shoulder) when facing the dinning table. I would say that it would be a bit tight when facing the bow since there is not that much space between you and the front grab rail, making it a bit more confined. Hope this helps a bit :-)
      Thanks for watching our video 👊

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Merci Pierre, nous avons bien du plaisirs avec ce petit bateau et TH-cam nous permet de créer ces beaux souvenirs. Au Canada, ce bateau vos environt 129k plus tax(neuf) dépendant des options. Cela est approx car beaucoup a changer depuis la pandémi, alors je ne suis vraime t pas certain du prix courrant si vous en commandé un.

    I so want to beach my 695 like you did - any tips?

    • @ChasingSunsets
      @ChasingSunsets  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have a few spots that water goes deep right from the beach so the nose is on the beach but the engine has plenty of water. We find these spots just inside the inlets from the Ocean to the rivers. Or the odd spots that we marked while walking on the beach and found that the water goes to 3 or 4 feet deep right away.
      We also started to anchor with the stern towards the beach (but not on the beach off cours) with an achor at the bow and one at the stern, giving us better access. (In about 2 to 3 feet of water) Just make sure tides are going up and not down.
