Another great video Peter, the f75 is one of the best value Nikons available. The f100 and f80 have more features but are rising in price. The 55mm f2.8 macro is also one of the best manual focus nikkors
I like that you can get a vintage nikon lens on these cameras, wondering if you can meter by stopping down lens? I noticed also this camera has the in-body focus screw for the old auto D lenses, a nice feature that was carried over from the pro bodies.
A great camera. Those photos, pin sharp! I hope you get to play with more cameras soon. many years ago I camped in Epping Forest in Chingford and went to a pub called the King's head. I didn't realise it was actually Essex (I'm from Northern Ireland) but there you go.
I remember when I got my FM2 camera ( been wanting one for years since I used my Tutor’s in college), I put the lens on and couldn’t get it off. I thought I’d wrecked the camera got it off eventually. I don’t know why they mount is reversed of every other make. Since got a F-801 and F90x and I’m a Canon girl😂
I think it’s because the Nikon’s rangefinders used the contax RF bayonet which also attached anti-clockwise. Why contax goes the opposite way I don’t know
I now have two that I just bought on eBay, a few years ago I had three of them 1 I gave away and sold the other two. The best film camera ever made in my opinion is the Nikon F100 which I had 4 of them before giving up film about 5 or 6 years ago. I have just got back into film again but the prices have gone way up.
Nikon threw all the clever stuff from their professional cameras into a consumer body, with the F75. It's a better bet than the F55 and F60. A few years ago, you could buy an F75 for very little money indeed. Not sure what one would cost in 2022.
Just grabbed an f75 today thank you for this entertaining and informative video Peter!
What beautiful condition camera is in - clearly well handled by original purchaser.

No expense spared, I recently treated myself to a minty F65 for the princely sum of £14.00 (I already have several AF lenses). An absolute steal. 👍
Nice camera, good review - thanks Peter!

@@mattdyer9544 that’s interesting 🤔 makes sense cos the rangefinder was well before the slrs
I nearly dropped a lens on my Bronica on account of that "reversed" mount system. I'm far too used to my Canon DSLR.
