Thanks for this hint. I had the same yellow light on a Fabia 6Y5 and the diagnosis targeted the EGR. At the end was just a small rubber tube on the EGR that was being chewed by the engine cover
Hi, and thanks for watching! Glad if the video could help! Sadly, on modern cars, it's often that small things cause lots of unneeded repairs and costs. That's especially a pity on well-built cars like Skoda. We've made a video specifically about that topic trying to help people avoid it. All the best to you and happy driving 🙂
The "check engine" light turned on for me after this sequence of events on my Skoda Fabia 1: Wanted to move my car on below 0 degrees weather. Cold start of engine (diesel), let it idle 30 seconds to heat up a bit, then moved the car (about 100 meters) to its new location, idle for 10-20 seconds and shut it down. Restarted the car to adjust its position slightly, then when I wanted to turn it off, I did not press the clutch pedal, and it appeared to misfire. And bom, permanent "check engine" since then. Did not go yet to the auto-service, but I do suspect it was an isolated incident, being my fault that I have not allowed it to warm up before the start-stop sequence
I got a code for a egr valve started and stalled straight away only worked if I unplugged the egr valve connector and what is was is the fuel purge valve it was stuck open causing a air leak it only opens when engine is hot but mine was open all the time but now I replaced it now running perfectly its a common problem on these skodas but people spend lots replacing parts that are fine I only replaced the egr valve which obviously didn't make a difference as it was the purge valve
hello i have skoda fabia 2001 model and i try to check it in obd and there P0300 P0301 P0302 and P0136 show, but i already replace the spurplug last month. thank you for response.
