😂 You say armchair witch like it's a bad thing. My practice took off in fits and starts. I tried things I read, and tried to get connected in the numerous pagan groups in my community. Wiccans, Druids, Witches, etc. The door on how to work with energy wouldn't open, and the door into the pagan community remained closed. So, I became an armchair witch. For years I supported witchy and occult authors by buying their books, and proprietors of local used bookstores. I read fantasy and fiction too. I read voraciously. Kept what resonated and exchanged the rest. And in my armchair knowledge, wisdom and magic seeped into my being. And, when the time was right, I joined a group where I learned the skills to work with energy and communicate with nature and spirits. Now, I hardly read at all 🤣 (though I just bought your book on hedge druidry 🙂). And, with a demanding full time job, practice when I can.

Great video, I really appreciate your advice about actually living the craft and walking the path rather than just reading about it.

I'm a Christian (gnostic) Witch and little bit of Kitchen and Green Witch to the mix! And this video really touched my heart. Its all about being with Nature, with Spirit, honoring our rituals. I may be a little behind on that part. But you've inspired me to (re)start lightening my candles to my ancestors and celebrating the seasons!! We are all brothers and sisters in this beautiful profound world. Many Blessings and thank you

It's like anything - you have to put time and effort in to get over the hurdle of struggling to become competent. If you love what you do it's so much easier to be good at it and to put in the practical hours and hours and hours to hone a skill. Good advice there, making it part of your life makes it become second nature with time and eventually as easy as riding a bicycle.

Joanna, you seem a very gentile spirt, unassuming, never pretentious. You have seemed to have acquired your place in this world, unfettered by the musings of people and rambling of civilization, which is constrained by an inability to explore a world that is based in nature and all it has to offer. Perhaps in time, humanity will journey onto "The Road Not Taken."
