Beautiful piece of work, and it sounds pretty good too. What does the walking stick sound like without the dulcimer body?

Thank you Thomas. The Stick alone is very quiet. The body works surprisingly well considering the bridge isn't siting on the sound board.

I was lucky enough to meet The Stick this weekend :-) If you lean it against a farm gate or a waymarker when you stop for a strum during your travels, you can use that as a soundboard to amplify the music.

Fabulous workmanship. Lovely area to play in by the looks of it too. Well done thanks for sharing.

How fun....now I could play 'You are my Sunshine' everywhere I went. Mind you....every tune I ever tried to play on a dulcimer sounded like You are my Sunshine ....-Veteran '66-68

Fantastic build. I’m a big fan of walking cane/stick instruments.

Nice idea with the removable soundbox. Walking stick instruments have been around since the 1500s - there are many examples of walkingstick violins and flutes but never seen any with removable soundboxes.

Wow, you made it! Looks and sounds great. I look forward to walking with you. I'll bring my backpack harp. Or maybe just my kettle drum!

Very cool, but I have no workshop and no tools, so trying this on my own is out of the question.

Such a simple idea, although the actual production seemed far from simple.
