It is hard to describe the awe inspiring beauty and dangers that you find all along the Aleutians and throughout Alaska. People cannot grasp how wild of a place it is. You are tiny and insignificant in the whole scheme of things. I am very glad I got a chance to fish up there and experience even a little of what Alaska has to offer.
I lived in Florida for many years surronded by boats and I have to tell you this is one of the most beautiful boats I have yet seen. This is the vessell of a master yachtsman.
Tony, You have outdone your previous videos with this one. I always enjoy your videos, and your narration. You have been given a unique gift and talent, most of us can not dream of affording a vessel such as Venture, or even an older Fleming 55 or 75 (like the one I dream of) You bring to us a place that most of us will never see, the sights and sounds of the ever elusive. You do this so well that it is absolutely peaceful to relax and watch and listen, to escape our everyday to journey along with you on Venture to places we can only dream of. I thank you. If I ever win that Powerball, or MegaMillions, maybe, one day I will travel with you to these places, and see them for myself. Until then, please keep this up.

While it is difficult to portray on video the magnificent nature of Alaska you've done so as best possible here. A life lived without treading there at least once is incomplete and once visited it is virtually impossible not to return. Well watched and much enjoyed as always, calm winds and following seas... Wow this is fantastic. I felt like i was in a movie theatre! You carry a voice of great presence and authority over every word spoken, and so rich with details. But i admit, that, coupled with some ominous footage of the sky and reading about bad weather, along with the grave music, got me pretty scared or spooked out a few times. I commend your stalwart attitude on such a hazard-frought expedition.

We should have more videos like these on Utube install of the 80% of garbage that pops up on that site. Toyr videos and some others are the exception and magnify the beauste of our planet. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you for depicting Alaska with uncommon honesty. All too often similar projects are unnecessarily steeped in hyperbole that depicts an unrealistic representation of this wonderfully diverse part of the world.

There is a Wonderful Lady that lives in Dutch Harbor called Pam Aus. She used to post videos on You Tube. Amazing videos all about the wildlife in the town, she used to show all the Eagles and Foxes that used to visit her veranda. The Eagles have no fear and just used to sit there while her cats sat looking at them. Delightful videos.. but for some strange reason were taken down by YT????? A sad loss for many people that used to love her videos. Very strange and sad... If ever you return Please try and find her and find out what happened. :-))

Well filmed and well edited as usual! I saw Venture in the Med last summer ( in july ) heading for the island of Hvar. It was a beautiful sight. Any plans to do a video of that part of the world? Thanks.
Actually most of the way is along the Inside Passage which is a protected waterway. However, we have been as far as 600 miles offshore. Venture is a good sea boat but there are many boats much smaller than her which have circumnavigated the world.
welll=5000miles=10,000gallons diesel fuel-no road use tax but still $5.00/gal @ a marina.well worth getting a tanktruck to drop fuel to you at a private dock at nite??
Alaska is big and weird. not many roads , the mountains come right up to the ocean , only boats work , and airplanes , pizza delivered by bush plane . ( barrow) .it's boat or swim otherwise
