I ended up getting a tremendous value with my ring. I went to rare carat and got a Internally flawless round 1.12 for 5100 the diamond had cut proportions that equated to a .9 on the halloway cur advisor and then kept an eye out and found a brand new verragio stock/display ring for 1600. Spent 6700 and the ring was appraised at 12000. It doesn't have a warranty but I was able to get a stunning verragio crazy sparkle and IF diamond ring in my budget. Even if I need a prong tightened once in a while it's worth the $50 to pay for it myself because at least she has an much more amazing ring than what I could have gotten. James Allen is cheaper than most if all quality is the same bit still much more expensive than piecing the diamond from rarecarat and getting a non mounted ring separately.
My husband just upgraded my set. He also bought online. I had no idea a price difference of buying online. My ring also came with appraisal papers, we immediately got insurance for it. What a beautiful ring and she is going to be happy with it. Didn't realize this video is a few years old.

Went to a local jewelry store in town. I cant remember all the specs but the lady and owner tried selling me a 0.50-carat, good cut IGI ring for $2.8k. When i told them i only wanted GIA rings, you shouldve seen the look on their faces. They didnt carry any GIA rings but the lady kept saying she was GIA certified (that doesnt turn the rings the had to GIA cert) lol. I pulled up the diamond I had in mind from James Allen and showed them the specs which was wayyyyy better and half the price of the one they tried selling to me. the owner had the balls to tell me they would drop it down to $1800 just for me. the James Allen ring i was looking at was only $1400. i just walked away.
GIA only grade cuts on brilliant rounds .............an “ ideal cut” on a princess is something made up by James Allen , but won’t add value as it can’t be certified Nice ring though
The Ideal cut rating from James Allan is actually an in house rating so it not that reliable. An Ideal cut rating for princess cuts from JA can vary from good to amazing, so you might have gotten lucky or unlucky but its not something you should put too much trust in. GIA doesn't give a cut rating grade for princess cuts and you usually need to see an Ideal scope or an ASET to judge the actually cut quality/light performance.

Once the order was processed, it shipped over night, and it was was at my door about 1pm by Fed Ex. Overall I was very happy with them, and would use them again. If your not happy you can send it back. Do call and ask any question you may have they are very helpful. Oh one more thing always remember things appear to look bigger in in a photo than they do in person. So be prepared for that.

I’ve been looking at JA for a while playing around with different set ups but I feel pretty skeptical about getting the diamond and verifying myself the diamond I got is indeed the one I ordered. Would you take it a jeweler to inspect or anything like that? Even with the certificate I feel they could swap a different diamond for the one you ordered. At least some of their reviews have people that have received things they didn’t order

The site was better or the quality. The quality from James Allen and GIA certification from non conflict diamonds can’t be beat. That’s why they bought Jared. A company that probably has a store around the corner from you where you can get free cleanings. Free warranty claims. Can you expect that from Brilliance.

If you are in India, you would be better off flying to Surat and buying it direct from the diamond merchants there. You will get a GIA certified diamonds at wayyy better price..Yes way less even than online stores. It is possible because Surat is the world's Diamond hub.

I have just purchased one diamond from Surat...we got a great deal as we have close relationship with the dealer. The diamond I chose for my fiancee is 0.85, IF, triple excellent, H colour, Nil flourence... I got it for ₹2.8 lakh rupees...so around $3800 usd
Diamonds are great depending On what you plan to do with it in the future. If you're going to use it as a family heirloom and pass it through the generations it would be a good investment. However I have personally found that you spend a lot more money for the diamonds than the diamonds are actually worth. A few times I tried to sell my diamond rings and the maximum a store will give you is 75 to a $100. And it is irrelevant how much you paid for it. So they lose their value the minute you purchased them. But as I said if you never have to sell them you'll be fine.
James Allen has more GIA certified diamonds as well as all diamonds are accounted for with location it was mined from. Call brilliant earth and as where diamonds come from
There isn't even a GIA cut grade on this diamond since its a princess cut and GIA doesn't give cut grades to princess cuts. The cut grade he is talking about is the one that James Allen gave it, which doesn't have an Excellent grade. What you are thinking about is Excellent Symmetry and Polish, which aren't as important as the actually cut of the diamond.

My gf wanted a ring from roger and holland so bad. I asked to see it under microscope. It looked like the diamond had been dragged through rocks and looked terrible. I immediately went to a private jeweler and found the actual ring and am working with them instead and plan on doing james allen for the diamond.
Are your stones ACTUAL diamonds? My fiance' just got my ring and the stones have started to fall out. I went to a local jeweler and got them tested and it didn't read as a diamond. It didn't read as ANYTHING as a matter of fact.
@@JLane-sj5kb Yes, all the stones are real diamonds. It would be stupid of James Allen to not use real diamonds for the smaller stones since Melee diamonds are so cheap. Stones falling out of a ring has nothing to do with the gemstone inside. It has to do with the workmanship of the setting.
Ideal is an OK cut. Not the best...The best is excellent being symmetrical. F is a great colour but a VS1 clarity not so much. But regardless it's a gorgeous ring 😊
Cut grade and Symmetry grade are two different things and the cut is much more important. Princess cut diamonds don't get an actual cut grade from GIA so James Allen gives them one according to their standards(which are not specified). VS1 clarity is good enough for 99% of people and would definitely be eye clean, so it is actually a very good clarity to have in order not to spend too much on a diamond.

Got it appraised and the appraiser said it’s better than a vs1. Which is weird.
