    Hey guys, I wanted to show you all the ring that I purchased from James Allen for my Fiancée. Here you will see the exact diamond I purchased on James Allen's website with their high rez images as well as that diamond in real life after we received the ring. I couldn't find anyone who did this on TH-cam, so I decided to make my own video. We love the ring and it is more beautiful than we imagined. Very happy with our purchase.
    Like I mentioned in the video, I had never purchased a diamond before and shopping online for one seemed scary at first. I browsed around the James Allen site looking at different diamonds just to get an idea of what I could get for my money. After visiting a few physical stores I realized that viewing diamonds on James Allen's website was more transparent than I realized and I felt more comfortable purchasing form James Allen compared to a store. Without the the high rez images I wasn't confident in the diamonds I was looking at in person because I didn't know what inclusions the diamond was hiding under the artificial light in the store. I was also surprised with how much more expensive the rings were in the stores vs online. So after a lot of shopping and looking around I decided I wanted to purchase from James Allen simply because I knew what I was getting based off the detailed photos. I also figured if I was not happy I would take advantage of their 30 day return policy.
    Another thing I considered was the selection. When I was shopping most Jewelry stores were trying to push me on diamonds that didn't meet my specifications. For example one store wanted me to purchased a diamond that had fluorescence because it fit my size, color, clarity and budget. However, I specifically didn't want a diamond with fluorescence, but they didn't have one in stock so they were pushing me to get one that did. This really annoyed me and was one of the reasons why I went with James Allen, simply because I could get exactly what I was looking for.
    I hope this video helps you all out. If you have any questions feel free to leave them down in the comments. If this video helped you all out all I ask is you leave a like. Thanks guys and good luck with your ring shopping.

    Congrats the ring looks great. I purchased from JA also and I’m extremely happy with diamond. I picked 2 diamond choices and asked customer service for advise and they suggested I not go with my original choices😂. They then selected one for me which actually cost a little less and the rest is history. James Allen exceeded my expectations and the diamond choice is amazing.

    Hi, thank you for posting this, I am currently in search of my ring, and this is indeed very helpful. I wonder if you could do another post, showing the diamond indoor setting. Is that possible? Really curious how the diamond would look in the office/ home setting? thank you!

    Hello, you mentioned that you customized the settings for your ring so that the diamond was more shallow thus making it larger on the surface area so it looked bigger. How did you do this? What setting and what metrics did you use on James Allen to get the biggest surface area for the diamond?

    • @freshmoregano
      @freshmoregano 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Table and depth percentage contribute to this, you can find these settings by expanding the filters search with “more filters”

That's just a waste of money if the ring does not look good quality especially if she is looking at her ring compared to a friend's ring and her friends ring looks so much better it's just going to make her feel like crap about her own ring. Just my opinion

    Hi did you purchase natural or lab made diamond? What are your thoughts?

  • @mhess427

    Great explanation. Why did you chose a natural diamond over a lab grown?

    • @tramho8456
      @tramho8456 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Natural diamond is more value and well maintained than lab grown one. It's also forever shined meanwhile lab grown will be doomed down a bit over time and needs to go back to the store to polish them back. Furthermore, for the values, natural diamonds can be pass generations and keep their value but the lab grown will never be the same price even less than what the customer originally purchased. In conclusion, lab grown diamonds are good for engagement because it's more affordable but keep the base ring and save more so you can have time to research the actual stones your significant really wants and desires to have and upgrade it for the special anniversaries or events!!!

    • @ewura-abenaattafuah9910
      @ewura-abenaattafuah9910 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @@tramho8456 natural diamonds do not keep their price. You will not be able to sell a diamond for the same price you got it.

    • @tramho8456
      @tramho8456 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @AAA. Agreed and lots of people said that but some jewelry stores offer to keep their price originally if you purchase theirs and come back years later to get and upgrade or exchange. Meanwhile lab diamond, one you left the store, the values will be dropped down drastically and no where seems want to buy it back because its human made, not naturally made so no values much on it. Buying diamond is a risk. Lots of people tend to think it's an investment but realistically it's not. Buying jewelry mostly is investing for showing and for passing out to our next generation. Better buy real 24k gold or 9999 gold patties. Best investment

    How would you be able to clarify the diamond you got is indeed the one you paid for? I feel like even if you got the certificate they could easily mistakenly get you the wrong one. Not like there is a barcode or number on the diamond? 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @Turbo_96
      @Turbo_96 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There actually is a number on the diamond

    • @MW-od6et
      @MW-od6et 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look for diamonds graded by either AGSL or GIA. The AGSL or GIA report will list an inscription number that you can match to the diamond listed on the report. You will need a minimum of a 30x loupe to be able to clearly read the inscription number on the girdle of the diamond. You can also measure the dimensions of the loose diamond to make sure it matches what's listed on the grading report and see if the inclusions on/in the diamond match what's shown in the inclusion plotting chart of the report.

    • @leeleelv
      @leeleelv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      GIA actually does have the certificate number etched on the girth of every diamond they certify . You just need a magnification loop to see it ! This is also good to know when you take it for cleanings and stuff ,before you leave with your ring ask to view your diamond through their magnification loop to make sure the certification number matches what is on your GIA report ! There are scammers out there who switch stones on unknowing customers and they usually don’t find out until it’s too late their stone has been switched either to a lesser quality diamond or even sometimes a CZ , very scary stuff if you don’t do your research and know what to look for !
